Apparently, the clay court at Roland Garros field in Paris is one that sports gamblers should looove–it slows down play to the point that pretty much anybody, no matter the seed, has a shot at coming up victorious. Plus, clay is pretty to look at. It’s red-orange hue reminds us of our trip to Spain three years ago admiring the prehistoric buildings in Minorca, sipping grappa out of a thermos, and spending the night with a vibrant little shop girl named Inez. Sigh…
