Vince Young hates losing. His Texas Longhorns team went undefeated this season. They are the defending Rose Bowl champions and current Big 12 titlists. But Young suffered his very first lost of the season when all-purpose runner Reggie Bush beat him for the Heisman award. And Young wasn’t happy about it.

Young and his legion of fans expected the Heisman Trophy to land on the Lone Star State. Many will agree. An undefeated season, another conference title, another BCS appearance plus beating old rivals Oklahoma Sooners and Ohio State Buckeyes after long years of frustration. But to their dismay, Young ended up as bridesmaid to the Trojan tailback.

Now, it’s payback time. Denied of a precious individual award, Young sets his sight on back-to-back Rose Bowls and the coveted national championship. He said he won’t change his Rose Bowl game plan just to prove some Heisman voters wrong. He’s gonna give it his all whether he wins it or not.

Young was asked if facing USC might be somewhat intimidating. "Intimidating? I don�t even know what that word means," Young said. That’s how focused and confident Young is coming into the Rose Bowl. In fact, after winning last year, he held up the micropne and said the Longhorns will be back. He kept his word.

Now, Young is ready for the game of his life. The road is tough. The odds are against them. Beat the two-time defending champs, stop the last two Heisman trophy winners and avenge his Heisman Trophy setback. Young is the heart and soul of this Longhorns team. They will win and lose with him.

It’s hard to bet against a man on a mission � a determined Vince Young. He promised to live up to his billing and prove to the world why college football is so big deep in the heart of Texas. They’ve been here and done that. The Longhorns are coming back for an encore.

And Vince Young will see it done.
