Meltdown in Indianapolis

Condolences to Tony Dungy and family on the death of James Dungy [Indianapolis Star]. The COLTS are visiting the Seattle Seahawks as 10-pt underdogs (opened at 7.5). Colts fans are worried, just when things looked so promising for the Colts, steamrolling to a 13-0 start until the San Diego Chargers pulled an upset (some credit to the Bolts but Tony & Peyton made surprisingly lackluster and questionable decisions) in Week 15 action. Is this another post season meltdown in the making?

thinking Super Bowl (not!)

The defending Super Bowl champions have been written off since pre-season through NFL Week 14 - when Dillon, Givens and Faulk rejoined the roster from injuries. But Tom, Bill and company have won 2 games since (including a shutout of the Tampa Bay Bucs). Some are thinking Super Bowl appearance is a cinch for the Patriots [theplonkers]. The thought is tough to contain - with only the lowly NY Jets and Miami Dolphins for remaining games as playoff tuneups (both teams Pats defeated this season already). But hold that thought coz aside from the Colts, a lot of tough and balanced contenders for Super Bowl 2006… Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos and yes, the Chicago Bears [2006 Superbowl Odds at SportsInteraction]!
