NFL Football vs. NCAA College Football Round Two
Thursday, August 31st, 2006
Here we go again, it’s NFL Football facing off with NCAA College Football for another round.
Last time, I asked you guys which brand of football would you rather watch. And with NFL Football having the almighty Super Bowl, I guess NFL Football won that round.
This time, I’m going to ask you guys which brand of football do you think has the better atmosphere on the 100-yard football field.
Football weekends are what
make this time of the year a fuckin’ great time to be a fan of good ol’ fashioned sports. Yup, it’s the perfect time to gather the crew inside your basement with a big screen TV and of course, a whole lot of beer.
Well, for all ya’ll who can’t afford those monster flat screeners, there’s always barbecue anyway.
But the question is, would you rather watch professional NFL Football teams on a God-given Sunday or would you rather gather all your college friends for a round of beer while rooting for…

Booty Call for Trojans in NCAA College Football
Thursday, August 31st, 2006
Wouldn’t it be nice if Paris Hilton called you for a booty call?
Well, the USC Trojans got the same thing, the only difference was, it’s an entirely different kind of booty call. A John David Booty call to be exact.
Now admit it, THAT was a good one.
John David Booty, the same man who many NCAA College Football fans thought will replace Matt Leinart at the starting QB position for the USC Trojans in the 2003 NCAA College Football season, will now lead the offense coming to this new football war.
Yup, he ALMOST edged Matt Leinart for the job, of course, no one thought Leinart will go on and lead the USC Trojans to an incredible 37-2 record and win a Heisman Trophy during one of the finest careers for a quarterback in the history of NCAA College Football.
Which leaves us to one John David Booty. Of course, no one will be expecting a ‘’Matt Leinart'’ season from him just yet.
For what it’s worth, it’s finally Booty’s turn, and he’s confident he can continue the tradition of winning quarterbacks established at USC by Leinart and…

Curt Schilling is the Real Mr. 3,000 of MLB Baseball
Thursday, August 31st, 2006
Who cares right? Well, MLB Baseball and the Boston Red Sox does.
Yep, no matter how old Curt Schilling is, he is now the REAL Mr. 3,000 of baseball, not Bernie Mac. I guess playing THIS long finally paid off for the guy. Man, I wonder when will he finally walk away from MLB Baseball?
Yep, the one and only Curt Schilling just scored his 3,000th career strikeout at Oakland, making him the fourth pitcher to accomplish the feat in the last two decades. That’s the last 20 years baby, and that stretch is waaay older than my ‘’booty call bitch'’ at home.
Curt Schilling also became the 14th man in Major League history to reach 3,000 strikeouts. Unfortunately, Nick Swisher of the Oakland Athletics became a mere footnote when he became the 3,000th man Schilling struck out.
Well, look at the bright side Nick, you ARE still a part of history.
However, the feat was somewhat bittersweet for Mr. Schilling. He had a tough time celebrating when his teammates are hurting back home at Boston. Oh yeah, losing the game added more bitter flavor to Schilling’s historic feat too.
‘’It’s very bittersweet,'’ Schilling said after the Boston Red Sox lost its…

NETeller Takes The Place of Credit Cards for Online Gambling
Thursday, August 31st, 2006
Your credit card companies won’t let you use your plastics to play your favorite casino games online? Well that’s their loss because online gamers can simply switch to e-wallets.
Because of the anti-online gambling climate prevailing in the US, credit companies would rather get to the safe side lest they face litigation from the federal government. Credit card companies are banning transactions related to online gambling, causing online gamblers to look to other options for their online gambling needs.
Many online gambling companies in return are working around this issue by taking online checks and online payments through e-wallet services like NETeller. Neteller for its part is helping these casino and sportsbook sites in trying to boost real money depositors through promotions.
Betonline Sportsbook Casino for one will grant new players 30% Free Play on their First Deposit of $300 or more through NETELLER.
Same with Golden Palace Casino who gives new users $300 Sign-Up Bonus when they use Neteller for initial deposit into their…

New Mexico State Hate Muslims in College Football?
Thursday, August 31st, 2006
Yup, just when the new NCAA College Football season kicks off, three Muslims are suing New Mexico State University.
The Muslims, three former players of the New Mexico State Aggies, are suing the school, as well as New Mexico State Aggies head coach Hal Humme, claiming that they were dismissed from the team because of their religion.
The three Muslims, Mu’Ammar Ali and Anthony and Vincent Thompson, were represented by the American Civil Liberties Union as they filed their case against New Mexico State University.
The suit alleges the school of religious discrimination and violations of the athlete’s right to freely exercise their religion. Also, it claims that one Hal Humme, a man hired by New Mexico State University in January of 2005, has put up a ‘’religious brotherhood'’ of sorts and singled out Muslim athletes on the school’s NCAA College Football team.
‘’Universities are supposed to be places of evolved thinking and reason, not of base intolerance and bigotry,'’ said Peter Simonson, executive director of ACLU New Mexico.
‘’They are supposed to rise above the knee-jerk prejudices that sometimes…'’

Federer vs Nadal III at US Open Tennis Championship?
Thursday, August 31st, 2006
This rivalry rages on at the 2006 United States Open.
World No. 1 Roger Federer and French Open champion Rafael Nadal will be aiming to write a new chapter in the hottest rivalry in men’s tennis at the ongoing US Open Tennis Championship.
In the women’s singles, Justine Henin Hardene will pose the biggest challenge for top seed Amelie Mauresmo and will continue the battle from where they left at Wimbledon.
The biggest contenders for the title in the men’s section are Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Between them, the two have won the last six grand slam crowns.
Federer has already won the tournament twice and is in top shape, having won seven tour titles and 63 of 68 matches this year. Nadal has been the only player capable of standing up to the Swiss maestro. He has won six of their last eight career meetings, four this year, including two of three on hard courts.
After Nadal beat Federer in the French Open final, and Federer returned the favor at Wimbledon, they’re bidding to become the first pair of men to face each other in three consecutive major finals during a calendar year.
Andre Agassi will play his 21st and last US Open. And his farewell…

NFL Football Tandems that Burn Batman and Robin
Tuesday, August 29th, 2006
It’s NFL Football season baby and you just know ya’ll can’t wait to see deep 80-yard touchdown passes on the field.
But first things first, for all ya’ll new to the game of NFL Football, (jeez… were you living on a goddamn rock or something?) plays from a solid quarterback-wide receiver combination are the plays that land on SportsCenter and ESPN highlights.
Yep, let’s face it, the running game is as effective as any other strategy on a coach’s playbook but c’mon, we all want to see deep balls and you need a solid QB-WR chemistry to pull those things off.
With that said, here are just some of the best quarterback-wide receiver combinations for the coming NFL Football season that will definitely kick both Batman’s and Robin’s ass anytime, anywhere.
Drew Bledose (QB) and Terrell Owens (WR) of the Dallas Cowboys.
Although these two guys haven’t had the opportunity of playing alongside each other yet, because of Terrell Owens’ dumb ego of course, this…

Wheelin’ Dealin’ with some NBA Basketball Trades
Tuesday, August 29th, 2006
As football hysteria from both NFL Football and NCAA College Football fills our guts, silently, NBA Basketball teams are moving.
Yep, you read it, numerous NBA Basketball teams are getting busy for the coming NBA Basketball season. And in case you didn’t know it by now, Al Harrington has finally ended his sabbatical of sorts with the Atlanta Hawks and has rejoined his former team, the Indiana Pacers.
Yup, in my opinion, the Indiana Pacers seem to be the strongest team, in paper, with the kind of talent they acquired this offseason. Al Harrington leads a new bunch of Pacers that will be playing at the Conseco Fieldhouse, with Harrington will be the likes of Marquis Daniels, Darrell Armstrong, Josh Powell and Orien Greene.
The most intriguing of which is just how effective this tandem of Al Harrington and Marquis Daniels will be with Jermaine O’Neal patrolling the inside and Stephen Jackson shooting the lights out from the outside.
Scary.
As for MY Detroit Pistons, I guess you can say that these guys lost the most in the offseason. Of course, losing a Ben Wallace will do that to any team. However, Detroit Pistons general manager compensates with the addition of a solid big man in Nazr Mohammed and of course, I got excited when I heard Flip Murray will be a Piston once the new NBA Basketball season starts.
I know, Flip Murray is no impact player like a Ben Wallace but if he can…

Survivor’s version of amazing ‘race’ – Will Blacks Win? (1 of 4)
Tuesday, August 29th, 2006
I guess this means Survivor: Cook Islands can forget about guesting on Oprah.
“The first record of slavery in Colonial America begins with twenty blacks recorded as being brought by a Dutch man of war and sold to the English colony of Jamestown, Virginia in 1619 as indentured servants.” (Source: Wikipedia) In a move that sets America back four centuries, CBS’ awarded reality TV show will have 20 castaways segregated by race: whites, blacks, Asians, and Hispanics.
What does the queen of talk, who is outspoken against racism, have to say about all this? It might rile up Ms. Winfrey double that the African-American tribe is faring poorly as a longshot, with 8/3 odds to win at Bodog betting props. Also not doing too well is the Hispanic tribe with 2/1 odds to win.
The Bodog prop betting favorites are the White tribe with 3/2 odds as well as the Asian-American tribe with 13/7 odds to win. I wonder if these Survivor betting odds are also an indication of the skin color of most online bettors for reality TV betting.
For as long as we’re stereotyping, none of the black castaways is named after a Nike shoe or related to the Wayans. There’s a break dancer, a hiphopper, a boxer, three in showbiz, one was in the Gulf War. Let’s meet tha brothaz and sistahz…

Another NFL Football Dream Season for the Colts?
Tuesday, August 29th, 2006
I don’t think so.
The Indianapolis Colts flirting with perfection last season was a goddamn FLUKE. There I said it. No matter what Colts fans say, it’s all just one big goddamn fluke and the last NFL Football playoffs certainly made that clear.
Yep, speaking of Colts fans, one brought up the fact that the Indianapolis Colts had their problems in the offseason last year as well, before scoring 14 wins in the regular season.
Well, yeah, I guess this guy had a point but he’s forgetting Indianapolis had one heckuva’ running game then. A running game that was left to nothingness with the departure of one guy.
Edgerrin James.
Edgerrin James is nicknamed the ‘Edge’ in Indianapolis because, well, he literally brought the EDGE in every goddamn NFL Football game. The Colts without the EDGE is like the Colts without any legs to run with. And this NFL preseason is a testament to that.
After three preseason games, here are the ugly numbers, Dominic Rhodes has run 17 times for…
