Time is TIKING Away for Tiki Barber in NFL Football
Sunday, August 27th, 2006
Yep, apparently, Tiki Barber STILL doesn’t have any Super Bowl championship rings in NFL Football.
And just like the rest of the aging men in sports, (think Karl Malone) Tiki Barber of the New York Giants is slowly fading and might retire without ever becoming a champion. Well, he is 31 now and before you know it, father time will have him by the neck at 35.
No matter how big and strong he is.
‘’There is probably more sense of urgency for me now, as I approach the
season, because I know there isn’t a lot of time left for me to be ultimately successful, and win a Super Bowl,'’ said Barber, who despite getting better with age, understands the ravages of 10 seasons of pounding.
‘’It’s not a big window, ever, for a player or a team in this league. For me, I’d say two years, and that’s probably it. I’ll be 33 then and, well, you know.'’
So if Tiki Barber fails (knock on wood) to score that NFL Football Super Bowl championship ring before his career is over, what will he do then?
Maybe he’ll be hoisting a head gear and work as an NFL Football analyst, like most…

Terrell Owens won’t be Talking Smack for a while
Sunday, August 27th, 2006
Yep, even the largest and foulest mouth in NFL Football shuts the fuck up.
Well, aggravating a hamstring injury will do that to anyone anyway. Even if it is someone like Terrell Owens. Hmm… Looks like all that promise within the Dallas Cowboys camp will vanish in thin air eh?
Terrell Owens claims he aggravated his left hamstring injury by returning to practice too soon. Well, T.O. talks a lot of shit anyway but THIS time, it seems you can’t smell any bullshit coming out of Owens’ mouth.
Terrell Owens said, ‘’I just tried to compromise with some people, just try to be around the team and get back out there. It just flared up again.'’ He adds, ‘’Just because the MRI doesn’t show anything, that doesn’t mean that I’m not hurting.'’
He he… Terrell Owens is REALLY hurting. Well, too damn bad.
‘’At this point, yeah, I will be close to 100 percent before I get back on the field,'’ Owens said. ‘’I'm not going to jeopardize my health just because of speculation or anything like that.'’
‘’It’s frustrating, but it’s not where I need it to be to play and perform like I need to. So…'’

Before Big 12 College Football Season Starts
Saturday, August 26th, 2006
Yep, we can’t seem to get enough of the Big 12 Conference.
After all, it IS the home of the defending NCAA College Football BCS Champions, the Texas Longhorns. And yep, the Longhorns still are the guys to beat as far as NCAA College Football is concerned.
The Longhorns won’t have a Vince Young back at QB. Of course, you already know that. The Texas Longhorns won’t be the same without him. And yup, Big 12 won’t be either.
A few weeks ago, I already told you just some of the teams within the Big 12 Conference that will be looking to shatter the Longhorns’ stranglehold of the conference. Yup, they sure were some big things for Big 12 NCAA College Football.
Now, as the opening kickoff for the brand new NCAA College Football season draws near, here are just some more things to look forward to. I’m telling you how it is, Big 12 Conference is…

Next Step for Tom Brady and the Patriots in NFL Football
Saturday, August 26th, 2006
No matter what, Tom Brady has the New England Patriots singing, ‘’I will survive’’ in NFL Football.
Yep, no matter what kind of injuries and defections fate throws at them, the New England Patriots will just keep on coming back. Well, that is if Tom Brady continues to run the show.
The New England Patriots dominated the Arizona Cardinals in an NFL preseason game, and if that game was a preview of the 2006 New England Patriots offense ran by Tom Brady, then may God help the rest of NFL Football.
And I’m not even over hyping things here.
With or without Deion Branch, a man yet to report as he is still holding out for a new contract, the New England Patriots showcased their offense against the Arizona Cardinals, an offense that could very well be worth the price of admission already.
And Tom Brady will certainly make sure that statement holds true.
Asked after the game how he thought the situation would play out, leading man Tom Brady said, ‘’I don’t know. I didn’t think it would go on this long.’’
Tom Brady had just completed 15 of 20 pass attempts for 149 yards in leading…

Barry Bonds is Out of Time in MLB Baseball
Saturday, August 26th, 2006
Barry Bonds has been dominating MLB Baseball for some time now.
Well, that is if you can call it dominance without any MLB Baseball World Series championship ring to show for.
Whatever the controversies that surrounds one Barry Bonds, it is quite clear that wherever Barry Bonds go, the San Francisco Giants will go with him. And of course we all know that steroids will take Barry Bonds wherever he wants.
He he…
The San Francisco Giants became one solid MLB
Baseball franchise with Barry Bonds leading the way. They produced the majors’ best MLB regular season record in 2000 and went to the World Series in 2002.
Felipe Alou replaced Dusty Baker as manager in 2003, and it hardly mattered, the San Francisco Giants won 100 games. They finished second in 2004, two games back.
Last season, Barry Bonds began showing signs of wear and tear. Either that or the effect of the steroids he was ‘’allegedly’’ taking began wearing out.
The Giants produced their first losing record since 1996, and the feel-good era was…

Prepare for Kentucky - Louisville College Football War
Friday, August 25th, 2006
Kentucky Wildcats head coach Rich Brooks said he’ll settle on a quarterback for the NCAA College Football season next week.
Yup, he said it, brushing off speculation that he might sit on the decision until kickoff to throw off the game plan of their rivals, the Louisville Cardinals. Brooks was in Cardinal territory when he addressed more than 400 Kentucky alumni who live in Louisville.
Hmm… A little courageous of him ain’t it?
He dropped few hints about whether junior Andre Woodson or sophomore
Curtis Pulley would be under center for the Kentucky Wildcats on Sept. 3 in the season opener at Louisville. However, Brooks said he is closing in on a choice and would commit to it by next week.
‘’The good news is it’s not an easy decision because they’re both doing some very good things,’’ Brooks said.
Brooks was greeted to warm applause by the group, despite a trying previous three years in which his team assembled a 9-25 record. But he called this season the ‘’light at the end of the tunnel,’’ citing the development of some younger players and a return from injury for several key veterans.
‘’We’re going to try real hard to make you happy a lot more than you have been the last couple years,’’ he said.
Many of the players have set as a goal a 6-5 record and a trip to a bowl game, but Athletic Director Mitch Barnhart signaled that…

NFL Football Steelers - Eagles Action on Friday
Friday, August 25th, 2006
Yup, it’s finally Friday. And as the rest of us go and get our asses drunk as hell, the Steelers and the Eagles face-off.
It ain’t quite the NFL Football regular season yet but with the defending Super Bowl champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers, in action, it’s worth grabbing a beer and watching it on TV.
So how does both NFL Football teams look coming to this Friday’s NFL Football game?
Pittsburgh Steelers
The loss in free agency of free safety Chris Hope is more significant than a lot of people realize. Hope has excellent range and covers a lot of ground in the deep middle of the field, allowing SS Troy Polamalu to play close to the line of scrimmage, blitz and attack. Polamalu might not be able to freelance as much this year with Hope gone, although the Steelers like Hope’s replacement, Ryan Clark.
Continuity is a big key to Pittsburgh’s success. Bill Cowher’s coaching staff has…

USA and a Relentless Bosh Bash Destroyed Senegal
Friday, August 25th, 2006
Senegal can not do anything, literally, as they watched USA destroy them on the court, 103-58.
It was all Chris Bosh that night. Yup, after being buried deep into the Team USA bench, head coach Mike Krzyzewski summoned a tower of power to blow Senegal away, and boy, was he the tower of power Team USA was looking for.
The tower of power, the man of the hour, too sweet to be sour.
He he…
Bosh dropped a massive 20 points to go with his 10 rebounds in a double-double performance
that left Senegal scrambling for something to delay the inevitable, another humiliation from a powerhouse basketball team of the Americans. And yep, it is by this reason that Team USA should win the 2006 FIBA World Championships.
As for team captain, LeBron James, he dropped 15 of his 17 points in the first half alone, enabling Team USA to build an already commanding 58-24 halftime lead.
‘’I feel I have played pretty well so far,'’ LeBron James said.
He adds, ‘’We are 5-0 and that is all that matters to me. We are winning ball games and…'’

Everybody wants to Play Buffalo in College Football
Friday, August 25th, 2006
Why? Well, quite frankly, they SUCK.
The University of Buffalo and its Buffalo Bulls went 1-10 last season. Hell, they did not score one measly touchdown until their fourth game. Yep, that’s how BAD they are in NCAA College Football. Makes you wonder why they still bother to play ain’t it?
The answer to that is CASH baby.
The Buffalo college football team sucks so bad that some NCAA College Football teams are ready and willing to shoulder a hefty sum of dough just to see these guys opposite their
NCAA College Football team, ready and waiting to have their asses kicked in so many ways humanly possible.
Yep, the University of Buffalo, for nearly a goddamn decade, is considered as one of the worst teams in NCAA College Football. And with the rest of college football paying just to get these guys on the football field and score that easy ‘W,’ you just know that donning a Buffalo college football jersey just doesn’t feel that good.
Buffalo is just the kind of opponent some of the nation’s top-ranked teams are looking for, and are paying rapidly rising prices to play this season. The Bulls will…

MLB Baseball Champs Humiliate the Detroit Tigers
Friday, August 25th, 2006
Ohmigod. There’s nothing nice about this humiliation.
The first out of the home fifth was scored 5-7-3. Do you even want to know how the rest of it went?
A Comerica Park crowd of 41,565 witnessed an MLB Baseball game that ended long before the seventh inning stretch, a 10-0 dud on Thursday afternoon that brought the visiting Chicago White Sox to within 5 ½ games of the division-leading Detroit Tigers.
Chicago socked three home runs, including two by Jermaine Dye. Jon Garland (15-4) pitched a complete-game shutout. But the most memorable event on a forgettable afternoon came after Sean Casey, the popular first baseman, thought third baseman Joe Crede had snared his fifth-inning line drive.
And Casey was not alone. His manager, Jim Leyland, thought Crede had caught it, too. So did Ron Kulpa, the first-base umpire.
The ball had, instead, grazed Crede’s glove at third and sailed into left field. Thinking the ball had been caught, Casey stopped running. He took off his helmet. He stood, stunned, a few steps outside the batter’s box. Then he heard the crowd. He took another look, saw leftfielder Pablo Ozuna field the ball, not a pleasant discovery, and took off for first.
Casey, perhaps the team’s most valuable hitter since his…
