Baccarat, Other Secrets to Winning Asian Casino Gamblers (1 of 2)
Tuesday, November 28th, 2006
In a 4th floor casino with no #8 seat, your chances of winning Asian gamblers are baccarat, or zero.
Knowing their gambling superstitions (like lucky numbers) and choice of casino games (like baccarat) is half the battle over Asian casino gamblers, the newest ‘it’ group this side of town. Whether immigrants or tourists, Asian gamblers have indeed become a segment no casino can afford to lose, from Las Vegas to Macau and Native American Indian casino gaming reservations.
Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino, the world’s two largest casinos, are both Indian casinos situated in Connecticut. It is the wealthiest US state per capita, with a population that is predominantly white, at 76%. Only 3.2% are Asian American, yet this market is indispensable
enough that both casinos send buses out to pick up Asians customers at the neighboring Chinatowns of Boston and New York.
Asian & Chinese Gambling Superstitions
Over 2,000 Asian Americans gamble daily at Mohegan Sun, or 20% of all customers, says VP Rocco Santoro. It is imperative that their casino dealers and floor supervisors, half of whom are Asian, be trained to be culturally correct. “For instance, when introducing oneself to an Asian player, the lower you bow, the more respect you show,” he says.
As for the numbers game, Santoro says Asians consider the number 4 as unlucky and the number 8 as lucky. For this reason, Mohegan Sun would include a No. 8 seat but skip a…

Juan Manuel Marquez SMOKES Filipino Hero
Tuesday, November 28th, 2006
Not even a head butt in round 5 was able to stop Juan Manuel Marquez from stopping the boxing joke.
Of course, I’m assuming not everybody from the Philippines knew this one. Jimrex Jaca, that other Filipino boxing superhero, tried everything he knew, he even tried a head butt in round 5 hoping he can stop the Mexican monster known as Juan Manuel Marquez. To no avail.
After all that, Juan Manuel Marquez still DESTROYED Jimrex Jaca of the Philippines, retaining his featherweight championship of the world. Juan Manuel Marques was simply unbelievable last Saturday.
With blood streaming down his face coming from his right eye after Jaca’s head butt, Marquez unleashed a vicious left hook that left Jaca flat on his ass, separated from his senses.
Oh yeah, it felt good too. Now THAT is boxing at it’s best and not the circus we saw a couple of weeks ago between Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales. Yup, it was as FIXED as Anna Nicole Smith’s tits. Of course, I don’t expect Pacquiao fans to agree with me on that. Not that I give a flying fuck anyway.
Jimrex Jaca was originally scheduled to fight…

Seahawks host the PACK on Monday Night Football
Monday, November 27th, 2006
The Seahawks are not at full strength, the Packers are struggling, Monday Night Football is their chance for redemption.
Yep, the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers collide at the house that running back Shaun Alexander built as Brett Favre and the rest of the PACK travel to Qwest Field. The Seahawks will have their all-star running back for the game but the problem is, they STILL will miss their QB, Matt Hasselbeck.
Shaun Alexander and Matt Hasselbeck have been sidelined with injuries for much of the season. Alexander, who returned Nov.15, suffered a broken foot which had sidelined him for seven weeks, while Hasselbeck has missed the last three starts for the 6-4 Seahawks because of a sprained knee.
The injured quarterback has already been practicing but Seattle Seahawks head coach, Mike Holmgren doesn’t want to take the risk yet. Well, they don’t need it yet anyway. Even with a mediocre 6-4 stand, the Seahawks STILL leads the pathetic NFC West division.
On the other hand, Green Bay Packers quarterback, Brett Favre, will come into this NFL Football game with a rejuvenated love for football. He has discovered the…

Should Garnett give his Big Ticket to Someone Else?
Monday, November 27th, 2006
Why is Kevin Garnett STILL staying in Minnesota?
I don’t know about you but I strongly feel that Kevin Garnett SHOULD just leave Minnesota, talk to his former coach Flip Saunders, and be the starting forward for the Detroit Pistons. But that’s just me.
For some reason, Kevin Garnett is still letting a fucked up team like the Minnesota Timberwolves enjoy his unparalleled talents. Kevin Garnett is quite simply, THE MAN in today’s NBA Basketball but as talented as KG is, the Minnesota Timberwolves can’t seem to win.
Blame it on the coaches, blame it on their stupid roster moves, blame it on anyone. But as far as trying to win goes, KG is doing it by his lonesome right now because there is virtually nobody in a Timberwolves uniform talented enough to earn this team a ‘W.’
Kevin Garnett should have flipped out by now. He should arrive for home games wearing a sweatshirt that reads I HATE IT HERE. He should give Dwane Casey the nickname *Expletive Deleted*. He should call Marko Jaric, Ricky Davis and Mark Blount Loser No.1, Loser No.2 and Loser No.3 and refer to Kevin McHale only as ”the Guy Who Ruined My Life.”
He should be looking to get whistled for a ”flagrant nine” foul and lying on scorers’ tables on the road praying for a drunken spectator to lob a beer at him so he can break out his best Ron Artest moves. He should hire Sam Cassell and Latrell Sprewell impersonators to go with him everywhere, just so he can tell anyone who asks that he wants a reminder of the one season when he didn’t want to kill somebody.
Yep, the Minnesota Timberwolves franchise is doing NOTHING to better KG’s situation in Minnesota. After trading away Sam Cassell, a proven veteran who has…

Giants NFL Season saw a Titanic Giant Collapse
Monday, November 27th, 2006
Pathetic. That’s how one can describe the somewhat struggling New York Giants.
After Sunday’s loss to the young unproven rookie Vince Young and the unheralded team of the Tennessee Titans, 24-21, the New York Giants season, as we know it, could be virtually OVER.
The New York Giants had a PERFECT OPPORTUNITY to end their two-game slump, with a commanding 21-0 lead in the fourth quarter. Lo and behold, they gave up 21 in the fourth, giving Titans kicker, Rob Bironas the opportunity to knock a 49 yard field goal kick down
for what would be the game winner.
A couple of seconds later, Rob Bironas kicked the football 49 yards through the uprights, the Tennessee Titans were celebrating and New York Giants Eli Manning became the scapegoat of what became a gigantic Giants mid-season collapse.
This NFL Football game seemed destined to go extra minutes for overtime when Giants QB, Eli Manning, made one ridiculous play. Manning, whose shaky play in the past two losses had people questioning his confidence, had his chance to stop Tennessee’s comeback with the game tied at 21-21 in the dying seconds of the game.
Eli Manning could’ve just run a ground play to kill the clock and go overtime. Instead, he…

Trojan Horse prancing around again at USC
Monday, November 27th, 2006
Theeey’re baaack.
Yep, after the last few weeks of talking about the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Michigan Wolverines, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and the West Virginia Mountaineers, everybody’s talking about that Trojan horse once again. And yep, that’s the way it should be.
The USC Trojans moved into second place of the Bowl Championship Series standings in these NCAA College Football battles. USC dropped a statement game on the unfortunate Notre Dame Fighting Irish. After the Trojans’ 44-24 destruction of the Irish, USC made it
loud and clear why they should be playing for a national championship.
USC plays crosstown-rival UCLA on Saturday and a victory would likely lock up the Trojans’ third consecutive appearance in the BCS title game. The Trojans have already locked up the Pac-10’s automatic BCS bid, but playing in the Rose Bowl would be a letdown for USC this season. Yep, they want to FIESTA folks.
‘’I think we’re a pretty good team right now,'’ USC coach Pete Carroll said after beating…

Are the Eagles Ready for Sunday Night Football?
Sunday, November 26th, 2006
The Eagles lost last week, they are at a mediocre 5-5, and yeah, they lost Donovan McNabb for the season.
These are the things the Philadelphia Eagles will bring to the NFL Football field when they visit the Indianapolis Colts at the RCA Dome. Veteran Jeff Garcia will take over at quarterback, replacing the injured Donovan McNabb.
You just know the Indianapolis Colts will POUND these Eagles down for NFL Sunday Night Football. How? Well, is a Peyton Manning reason enough? That AND the thousands of fans that will be screaming their lungs out for their beloved Colts.
Oh yeah, the Colts will just be agitated coming to this NFL Football game. Last week, quarterback extraordinaire, Tony Romo, and the rest of the red hot Dallas Cowboys, handed these Colts with their first loss of the NFL Football season so you just know that Colts head coach
Tony Dungy will be determined… AND I mean determined… to make the rest of the league remember who they were after the first ten weeks of football.
Are the Eagles ready for this?
Well, Philadelphia Eagles head coach, Andy Reid, is certainly preparing for one thing, the RCA Dome. The Eagles spent a noisy Thanksgiving in their indoor facility at the NovaCare Complex, preparing for Sunday’s game in the RCA Dome against the…

Brian Urlacher VS Patriots HBs on NFL Sunday
Sunday, November 26th, 2006
Brian Urlacher is one tough SOB but on Sunday, the Chicago Bears linebacker will be facing his toughest test yet.
The Chicago Bears will be facing the New England Patriots on Sunday. Coming to this game, the Bears are coming off two straight wins over two New York teams, the New York Jets and the New York Giants. This week though, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his two running backs, Corey Dillon and Laurence Maroney, could prove to be a little more talented than New York’s mess the past two weeks.
First, Laurence Maroney is simply a speed demon. He doesn’t have those long runs like the top backs in NFL Football but he has explosive speed that catches any defensive lineman in a stand still. Like a jacked-up Toyota Supra, Maroney is just waiting for the quarterback to snap the football and when it
happens, BAM, Laurence Maroney has already smoked the line of scrimmage.
Then the New England Patriots also has the powerful Corey Dillon. Listed at 6′1” and 225 pounds, Corey Dillon is New England’s powerful monster. He has made a living out of running over would-be tacklers. And yeah, those unfortunate enough to meet this guy on an HB Draw WILL get hurt.
So how will the Chicago Bears stop New England’s brothers of…

Kobe can Play NBA Basketball but can he Read?
Sunday, November 26th, 2006
Apparently, he can and Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson is taking advantage of it.
Kobe Bryant, Phil Jackson and books are three combustible elements you can’t mix together before. Now that the Los Angeles Lakers are off to the better starts of their franchise, those three elements can now be put in one sentence. Don’t believe me? Check this.
PHIL JACKSON is now giving BOOKS to KOBE BRYANT for his All-Star to read. Not bad huh? Yup, the Zen Master is giving the once no.8, now no.24, reading materials to help him be a better NBA Basketball player. After a start that saw these Lakers well above .500 for the first time since losing Shaquille O’Neal, I guess it’s working.
”Our relationship has blossomed,” Kobe Bryant said of coach Phil Jackson. ”The books that he gives me now, I read them.”
How about that. Did Kobe just learned how to read? Hmm… Either that or Kobe now cares about what Phil Jackson has in mind. We know Jackson has given his players reading material for years, to mixed receptiveness. We also know he gave the world an inside account of the 2003-04 season that led to his dismissal and the…

New York Giants Tiki Barber is TICKED OFF
Sunday, November 26th, 2006
Yep, and he just might reconsider retiring and sign with another team just to punish the Giants for their stupidity next season.
Yep, after New York Giants tight end, Jeremy Shockey, declared that they were ”out-coached,” early in the season, franchise running back Tiki Barber is now criticizing the decisions made by their head coach Tom Coughlin during their loss to the unheralded team of the Jacksonville Jaguars on NFL Monday Night Football.
You see, the New York Giants opted to go with the passing game last Monday. That’s not bad right? Well, not if you have a dumb quarterback in Eli Manning throwing more interceptions than first down completions.
Such was the case in Jacksonville. And you can bet your ass running back Tiki Barber ain’t happy about it.
”I’m not here to be a cheerleader,” Tiki Barber said. ”I’m not here to be someone who fades into the background. My job is to help this team win. The opportunities I get will dictate that. If it gets to a point where I feel I’m not doing…
