Czech Republic made U.S. look DUMB at the World Cup

Well, for the first five minutes, Czech Republic certainly made that one clear.

Five goddamn minutes.

That’s all it took Czech Republic to slam that door, that door that gave the United States a glimmer of hope, hell, it’s not even a glimmer of hope but a HINT of a glimmer of hope, coming to this 2006 FIFA World Cup tournament.

Before the United States’ FIFA World Cup match with Czech Republic, the Americans came in with a lot of confidence in Germany. Heck, they even have these flags as they sang their song while they strut across the stadium.

Some came from the United States, some came from Europe but all were decked in red, white and blue. They wore the Stars and Stripes as a bikini, danced to ‘’Born in the U.S.A.'’ in the parking lot and carried themselves with the same level of confidence their team had exhibited all week. - ESPN

After five minutes, these silly Americans (and Europeans) were looking at an early 1-0 deficit as 6-foot-8 Jan Keller head a sling shot bazooka that zoomed past U.S. goalkeeper Kasey Keller.

Jeez… What do you expect? Every sportsbook in America that laid out their FIFA odds saw this one coming for crying out loud.

Well, one thing these FIFA odds never saw coming was how badly these morons from the United States of America played. The United States managed only ONE SHOT on goal and showed nothing whatsoever that may convince the fans in attendance during that fateful game to say, ‘’Hey, I think these American fagots have a shot.'’

Eager to prove they are among soccer’s elite, the Americans brought their most-talented team ever to Germany. They even got a pregame pep talk from President Bush, who called from Camp David before the game and wished them well.

But they undoubtedly disappointed millions of fans back home and certainly the 5,000 or so who made the trek overseas, falling to 0-8 in Europe in World Cup play, getting outscored 24-4. - ESPN

In this 2006 FIFA World Cup tournament in Germany, they say one goal, one game, can change everything. Well, as far as the United States is concerned, that one game against the Czech Republic just proved that Americans don’t know squat about soccer.
