Indianapolis Colts are at it in NFL Football Again

A regular season team. That’s what the Indianapolis Colts have been the past four seasons.

Yep, following an NFL Football regular season where the Indianapolis Colts ALMOST got through undefeated, these same band of men playing football in a land where hoops run amok are back at it again, AND this time, it’s looking like this really might be it when they join the mighty 1972 Miami Dolphins among the ‘’NFL Invincibles.’’

Of course, knowing the Indianapolis Colts, I wouldn’t be surprised if they fall flat on their faces again. 8-0, the Colts have been able to destroy eight straight opponents on the 100-yard football battlefield, and against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots last Sunday, they demonstrated just how dominant they are this season compared to last year.

However, as good as an 8-0 start gets, NFL Football DOES NOT give the Super Bowl trophy for 8-0 starts. It’s the playoffs where teams SHOULD go undefeated, not the regular season. And that’s where Peyton Manning and the rest of the Indianapolis Colts have their problems.

When it comes to the Colts, it’s easy to miss the trees for the forest, and this has to do mostly with their playoff failures the past four years. It’s easy to take for granted what they’ve done and what they’re doing during the regular season and focus instead on whether they’ll actually be able to get it done in the post season this time.

Yup, watching the Indianapolis Colts in the playoffs is as disappointing as listening to a godforsaken Story of the Year album.

The Indianapolis Colts are at it again, the league’s last undefeated team (they started 13-0 last year) and the clear favorite to represent the AFC in Super Bowl XLI. Indianapolis’ status as the team to beat was cemented by consecutive wins at Denver and at New England, however, if they keep on firing blanks come playoff time then who cares if they start 8-0 every year?

The Indianapolis Colts have the Buffalo Bills next Sunday. Can the Colts continue their undefeated rampage in NFL Football? Bet and play WagerTalk’s NFL Football Handicapping Contest and decide for yourself. Make your picks now.
