Iverson to be Traded Away to what NBA team?
Where will Philadelphia 76ers icon Allen Iverson go?
Yep, apparently, the Philadelphia 76ers have finally decided to trade away Allen Iverson, the same man who single handedly brought the 76ers franchise back on the map.
After all the dramatics and all the media attention the Sixers No.3 got throughout his career, it has all come down to this. Allen Iverson has played his last game with the Philadelphia 76ers in NBA Basketball.
Yep, the franchise player has asked to be traded and been told to stay away for at least
two games. The phones, presumably, are ringing off the hook.
Before this week, the futures of the 76ers general manager Billy King and head coach Maurice Cheeks hang in the balance with A.I.
Trouble is, they’ve been hanging for some time now.
But once 76ers chairman Ed Snider said Friday night that Allen Iverson, their franchise player, was going to be traded, there could be no more pretense. Asked whether Iverson’s time with the Sixers had passed, Snider bluntly responded, ”Yes.”
”I told Billy he should’ve done this during the summer,” former Sixers star Charles Barkley said in a telephone interview. ”This was only going to get worse.”
”I tried to tell him, ‘You’re not going to be any good and the pressure is just going to get worse as the season goes on.’ They’re not a very good team. They should have known this team was not going to be very good.”
Of course we all know how Charles Barkley likes to meddle with other people’s business. C’mon Charles, just SHUT UP and just make fun of Kenny Smith.
