The Detroit Pistons doesn’t need Ben Wallace
Maybe this is just wishful thinking, but as a Detroit Pistons fan, I believe my boys will just be OK without the ‘fro.
Yup, Ben Wallace did announce that he will be a Chicago Bull-SH#T at the start of the brand new 2006-2007 NBA Season. Yeah? Well good riddance Ben because I know these Pistons will just be fine without ya’.
(J.J. Jack sobs a li’l bit…)
Okay, here are some of the facts. First, Ben Wallace is going on 32. Clearly, he is not the same player anymore when he was in his late-20s. His rebounds and blocked shots have gone down every year after the 2002-2003 NBA Season.
Yeah yeah, Ben Wallace did put up decent averages of 4.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.22 blocks in 18 playoff games. But hell, paying the guy $15 million a year for those numbers are just simply unthinkable.
And the Bulls will. I feel sorry for them already.
Besides, Ben Wallace sucks like a godforsaken SOAD concert behind the free throw line. I know Ben brings the defense but c’mon, you can’t win anything if you can’t score. Simple as that. Maybe the Pistons realized that and maybe that’s why they finally let this free – throw – shooting – moron go.
In the old days like, two or three years ago that was OK, because the Pistons won with defense. But you can’t win with defense in today’s NBA. The new officiating guidelines, no hand-checking, no use of the forearm along the baseline, NO BREATHING ON DWYANE WADE, have given offenses the edge.
Especially the last one.
The Dallas and Miami players who played in the NBA Finals all have something in common, they failed to make the league’s All-Defensive team. In fact, none even made the All-Defensive second team.
That could only mean one thing, offense is the key to success again and unfortunately, Ben Wallace has everything EXCEPT that.
Can Ben Wallace lead the Chicago Bulls to the NBA Finals? Can the Detroit Pistons dominate the Eastern Conference without Ben Wallace? Bet on Bodog for more odds today.

It’s sad that Ben Wallace had to go. But yes, I agree. The Pistons are better off with Sheed and McDyess as the starting frontcourt.

[...] Anyway, maybe a Pistons team without a free throw shooting moron like Ben Wallace would do for now. Besides, the Pistons do not need Ben Wallace anymore anyway. [...]

I agree. You are so right. Especially about the “no breathing on Dwayne Wade. He’s such a whiner. Ugh!

The Pistons were weak with Ben, and they’re gonna still be weak without him!! They got lucky in ‘04 when they beat the Lakers, and their true colors have shown ever since. F*** the Pistons now and 4 ever, and I live in Detroit!!
GO LAKERS L.A. All day, everyday
Now take that!!
