Pistons sweep Magic in Game 4… It’s that simple…
Saturday, April 28th, 2007
It’s over boys and girls, the Orlando Magic will dread the day they saw the red, white and blue Piston uniform across the basketball court.
He he… Yep, I knew the Orlando Magic won’t have a chance coming to their best-of-seven Eastern Conference first round series against the Detroit Pistons. And yes, it showed in Game 3, where the Pistons simply bitch-slapped the Magic all around the Orlando floor.
Oh yeah, it wasn’t even close, as the Detroit Pistons continued where they left off in Detroit and pounded the Magic to a 93-77 humiliation. He he… And to make matters worse for Orlando is the fact that the Pistons were not playing their best basketball yet.
Richard Hamilton was not having a good night but teammates Tayshaun Prince and Chauncey Billups stepped up. Prince scored 23 while B-B-B-B-Billups dropped 21 to lead Detroit over Orlando to take the commanding 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference first round playoffs.
Detroit gave the Magic plenty of chances in this one. The Pistons trailed early, letting the Orlando Magic be physical and seemingly got flustered as they were whistled for three technical fouls. Leading scorer Richard Hamilton even had an off night, scoring 10 points on 2-of-11 shooting.
But Detroit made up for it with solid outside shooting from Prince, Billups and Rasheed Wallace. The Pistons finished 8-of-13 from behind the arc. Wallace, who had 15 points, was 3-for-3. Prince was 3-for-5, and Billups was…

David Beckham returns to Real Madrid first before he leaves it and plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy
Saturday, April 28th, 2007
Remember David Beckham? ‘Course you do. Well, the former English captain returned to Real Madrid after being sidelined for six weeks.
The last time we checked Victoria Beckham’s spice boy, he was ready to join the Los Angeles Galaxy and Major League Soccer (MLS) in top form before the injury bug bit him hard in the ass.
David Beckham suffered a knee injury early March in Real Madrid’s 1-1 home draw with Getafe. All of a sudden, his promising move from Real Madrid and the Spanish League to the United States with the Los Angeles Galaxy was in peril.
Many thought the Los Angeles Galaxy won’t go ahead with the deal because of the injury and after David Beckham was ruled out of Real Madrid’s Champions League campaign, it definitely looked like he will be ruled out of his MLS future too.
Well, after weeks and weeks of anticipation,
David Beckham finally made his long-awaited return to Real Madrid Saturday when they took on Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Beckham completed a full training session with Real Madrid for the first time, six weeks after spraining a right knee ligament during a league match. Well, after being out of Real Madrid for weeks, Beckham only missed five league games, (thanks to the weird scheduling of games in soccer / football / or whatever it is you’d like to call it…) and his return will definitely be a big boost for Real Madrid’s current campaign.
Oh yeah, the Los Angeles Galaxy should be glad too. You see, David Beckham still has eight matches remaining with Real Madrid before he can go to the States and play for the Los Angeles Galaxy in August, watching him back in action may very well bring a sigh of relief to the once restless Americans in L.A.
Real Madrid is third in the league with 54 points, five behind leader FC Barcelona. They still have a chance of winning the title, which would be Beckham’s…

Bulls will shove Wade up Shaq’s ass Game 3 in Miami
Friday, April 27th, 2007
Face it, the once pathetic championship era of the Miami Heat is going to be over soon in the next couple of games in Florida.
It’s going to be a sweep. You can just feel it. As much as these Miami Heat fans want to claim that all Chicago did was hold serve, they don’t have a clue what’s coming to them.
You see, the Miami Heat team that won last year’s title is gone. This year, all we have is a bunch of guys still trying to play long enough just so they can milk on the title win they accomplished back in 2006. Or better yet, this Miami Heat team is just plain OLD and they won’t be able to keep up with the young Chicago Bulls.
Yeah yeah, Miami was down 0-2 against Dallas in the 2006 NBA Finals. Sure, the Heat did came back to win four games straight to win the title in what I’m still calling the infamous ‘’Dallas screw job,'’ but the fact of the matter is, NBA referees won’t bail out Dwyane Wade this time around. Hell, he can’t be explosive enough anymore for him to give these referees a chance to bail him out.
Even if these referees ARE in Pat Riley’s payroll.
Classic example is Game 2, where Dwyane Wade tried to attack the basket and force contact to get to the foul line. Well, Wade was slow, (thanks to the shoulder injury he got from my boy, Shane Battier… YAY!) he was so slow that he always found himself surrounded by Bulls defenders, leaving him no choice but to turn the basketball over, SEVEN TIMES.
And to make matters worse for stupid and pathetic Miami, (can you feel how much I hate those guys now?..) Wade’s counterpart, Shaquille O’Neal, began to…

NASCAR not OK with Montoya waving the finger
Friday, April 27th, 2007
Yes, and when everyone else does it, NASCAR just turns the corner. Hmm… Must be something to do with Montoya’s irritating personality.
Juan Pablo Montoya, the former Formula One driver who made BMW Williams a household name again before going toe-to-toe with Ferrari in a McLaren – Mercedes machine, was fined and placed on probation for the, as NASCAR puts it, ‘’inappropriate gesture'’ the Colombian made on live TV.
Juan Pablo Montoya, who was also placed on probation through the end of the year, waved a finger at a camera following practice at Phoenix International Raceway. Team officials have maintained the gesture was made in fun and he was unaware the camera was providing a live feed. Now whose fault is that?
‘’I really feel bad that the incident happened,'’ Juan Pablo Montoya said. ‘’It was only meant as a joke to one of my friends. I completely understand NASCAR’s point of view and their decision.'’
It’s the first time the former Formula One star has fallen afoul of NASCAR policies against such gestures and obscene language. The only problem here is when NASCAR vets like Tony Stewart does the same, nothing happens. Oh yeah, Stewart did it TWICE too.
First one was when Stewart waived his finger to Jimmie Johnson in Atlanta. Stewart wasn’t penalized. NASCAR claims they were not aware of Stewart making any…

Raiders NEED JaMarcus Russell in the 2007 NFL Draft
Friday, April 27th, 2007
Remember when these guys passed on both Matt Leinart and Jay Cutler last year, well, let’s hope they won’t make the same mistake this time.
Although I still believe passing on Jay Cutler is not really much of a loss for Oakland, the idea that they could’ve had Matt Leinart playing for them only to let the Arizona Cardinals take him in last year’s draft just pisses me off.
I mean, jeez… staying with Aaron Brooks didn’t work after all those fumbles the moron had last season. Heck, the Andrew Walter experiment didn’t work either after seeing the guy on his back in the middle of the football field more than a Las Vegas whore would.
Now, in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders have a chance to redeem themselves from the mistakes they did last year. They have, after all, the overall No.1 pick in this Saturday’s draft class and if the Raiders make yet another moronic move, then they don’t deserve to play in the NFL.
There’s always Arena Football anyway.
With the Oakland Raiders simply REFUSING to draft a good quarterback last year, they played the 2006-2007 NFL football season filled with all those fumbles and interceptions you’d think these guys were playing rugby or something.
For what it’s worth, the Raiders ARE indeed on the market for a good quarterback but the problem here is, they could go for someone from the free agency pool. And THAT would be another terrible…

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho claims refs always favor Manchester United but not his beloved Chelsea
Friday, April 27th, 2007
Yep, apparently, something pissed off Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho again.
And yep, he was pissed already even before his Chelsea squad played the first leg of their Champions League semi-finals against rival Liverpool. The usually irritated Chelsea big boss was irritated, claiming that referees favor Manchester United and wants to screw his Chelsea club in any way that they can.
Jose Mourinho was PISSED when, according to him anyway, Chelsea was denied two penalties against Newcastle after watching rival Manchester United escape defeat from the hands of Middlesbrough.
Mourinho claims Lee Dong-Gook of Middlesbrough should’ve been awarded a penalty kick against Man-U when he was felled by John O’Shea in what could’ve been the penalty kick that would’ve broken the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. Yep, that’s Jose Mourinho, always meddling with other people’s business.
Oh yeah, watching these refs do this ‘’no penalty'’ rule to his Chelsea squad didn’t help him cool off a bit either. The Chelsea big boss vented all his frustrations at referee Mark Halsey for denying two appeals for a penalty that would’ve given them two chances to break the 0-0 tie.
Instead of Chelsea tying Manchester United, they parted ways with Newcastle STILL…

Detroit Pistons to bitch-slap Magic on Game 3 in Orlando
Thursday, April 26th, 2007
Yep, home won’t be sweet for the Orlando Magic as the cruel Pistons look to invade Florida and take a 3-0 lead in the first round of their series war.
As pathetic as the Miami Heat looked after two games of postseason wars, the Detroit Pistons looked awesome (to say the least…) as they continue to push the pathetic Orlando Magic to the brink of elimination.
And yeah, elimination could happen to the Magic while playing at home too. Games 3 and 4 will be in Orlando, Florida and you can bet your ass that the Detroit Pistons will be looking for a sweep.
Of course,
the Orlando Magic know this more than anyone and head coach Brian Hill, as futile as it looks now, doesn’t want to give it up just yet, saying, ‘’We’re just going to keep knocking on the door.'’ Hmm… ‘delaying the inevitable’ is probably the appropriate remark there.
You see, this 2007 NBA Playoffs Eastern Conference first-round series between the Detroit Pistons and the Orlando Magic has not really been competitive. Both of Detroit’s wins were by eight points and as big as a Pistons fan yours truly is, I find myself cheering for Orlando every now and then just to see a better, ‘’playoff atmosphere'’ basketball game. What Orlando needs to do is simple, PLAY DEFENSE for the entire 48 minutes. You see, the Magic played tremendous defense in Game 2, holding Detroit to 41 percent shooting, but in the…

Chelsea beats Liverpool in Champions League semis
Thursday, April 26th, 2007
Yep, they sure did, but due to the weird game of soccer, they’re not going to the finals just yet.
After Manchester United won the first leg of their 2007 UEFA Champions League semi-final match with AC Milan, Chelsea does the same, winning their first leg Champions League semis match against rival Liverpool.
HOWEVER, due to the weird nature how this thing in the Champions League works, Chelsea will meet Liverpool again, this time in their own home field, dubbing it ‘’second leg.'’ The same goes for Manchester United too as they prepare to face AC Milan in Italy after their incredible 3-2 win in Old Trafford.
I know what you’re saying, yes, winning semi-final matches SUPPOSE to take you to the final game. Well, that’s not the case in the UEFA Champions League. Until somebody explains this entire thing to me, I’ll just keep making fun of the damn thing.
ANYWAY, yep, Jose Mourinho saw his Chelsea squad beat Liverpool to take the 1-0 win in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final encounter. Mourinho claims that Chelsea is in a good position to finish the job once they go to Liverpool’s turf. If they win there, only then can they go to the UEFA Champions League finals.
Of course, Jose Mourinho can’t help but be Jose Mourinho. Despite his team’s recent success, the guy is not happy. He’s saying that they could’ve scored more goals against Liverpool. But hey, he’d take the 1-0 win, putting them in a very advantageous position heading for the second leg in Anfield, Liverpool’s…

Australia v Sri Lanka in 2007 Cricket World Cup final
Thursday, April 26th, 2007
As expected, powerhouse Australia is in the 2007 Cricket World Cup final. They will face Sri Lanka on Saturday as the tournament comes to a close.
I don’t know about you but I always knew we will see the Aussies in the 2007 Cricket World Cup Final game. There’s just something about these ‘’heavy favorites'’ that they always, more often than not, come through what’s expected of them.
Australia will face Sri Lanka on Saturday for the 2007 Cricket World Cup championship match. At this point, does it even matter who the Aussies play? You just know they’re going to win it all now one way or the other anyway.
And yeah, to prove just how confident Australia is heading to their cricket world cup title game on Saturday, Australia cricket team captain Ricky Ponting says they are not afraid of Sri Lanka. Heck, who’s telling him they’re afraid of those guys anyway?
Sri Lanka is coming off a seven-wicket defeat heading to the 2007 Cricket World Cup final on Saturday. Stars like Muttiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas and Lasith Malinga were rested, probably to have them ready for powerhouse Australia.
Of course, the Australian captain doesn’t agree with the tactic.
‘’They had a chance to make a statement in that game but chose not to,'’ Australia cricket team captain Ricky Ponting said.
‘’They played some very good cricket on Tuesday but I really like the match-up. We know that Murali will do what he does, we know that Vaas is a very good bowler with the new ball but we have…'’

MLB Baseball Superstar Alex Rodriguez is not the problem, these pathetic New York Yankees are…
Thursday, April 26th, 2007
As bad as the New York Yankees looked the last couple of games, Alex Rodriguez remained hot.
GO FIGURE. Remember the time when A-Rod was being booed in New York after becoming the very reason why the team was losing so much? Well, it’s the exact opposite these days with A-Rod playing in a high level while the rest of the New York Yankees simply fail to show up.
These days, every single ass seated inside Yankee stadium expects a homer from their now beloved Alex Rodriguez. Hell, the Yankees season is starting to become like all those Sammy Sosa / Mark McGwire days in a hurry, days when the fans simply doesn’t care if their team wins as long as their favorite slugger gets a goddamn home run.
This week, the New York Yankees superstar hit his 13th and 14th homer, in a single game. The first one was his first at-bat and the second, a two-run shot home run. Unfortunately, the New York Yankees lost again, but no one seems to care.
A-Rod’s 13th home run of the season tied the American League record for homers in the month of April. His second one broke that record (obviously…) and tied the St. Louis Cardinals MLB record for April home runs held by none other than Albert Pujols.
‘’When you’re where he is, you’re allowing your ability to take over,'’ New York Yankees manager Joe Torre said. ‘’Right now, as good as he seems to feel…'’
