Can Adrian Peterson CARRY the Minnesota Vikings?
Friday, August 31st, 2007
If you’re not familiar with Adrian Peterson, he was the guy who carried the Oklahoma Sooners to the next level in college football.
In the 2007-08 NFL football season, Adrian Peterson hopes he can carry another team to take the next step and this time, he’ll be doing it in the professional stage. For the sake of the Minnesota Vikings, let’s hope the Twin Cities finally found their man.
The former Oklahoma Sooners standout was selected No.7 overall in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings who, since letting Daunte Culpepper go, never really found that one guy who can finally assume leadership of this somewhat lost franchise.
Against the New York Jets, Adrian Peterson showed he really can be Minnesota’s new star. In one play, Adrian Peterson took a handoff, went to his right, spun by a defender and raced down the right sideline. While getting boxed in along the sideline, he lowered his left shoulder and smashed into a cornerback before falling out of bounds.
A play that turned out to be a gain of 43 yards.
Former Dallas Cowboys and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman was impressed as he was covering the game for FOX, saying…

Hot and Sexy Maria Sharapova shakes her ass towards the third round of the 2007 United States Open
Friday, August 31st, 2007
Yay! Maria Sharapova is still shaking that sweet little you – know – what in the last grand slam of the tennis calendar year.
Yep, you read it, the hot and sexy Maria Sharapova, the only real reason why we keep on watching tennis, is still alive in the 2007 U.S. Open after breezing past the first two rounds of the tournament.
Maria Sharapova is out to win her second straight U.S. Open title and it sure looks like she’s determined to do just that too after completely dominating Casey Dellacqua of Australia.
Sharapova’s quick work of the 90th ranked tennis player in the world is her second straight utter destruction of an opponent in the 2007 U.S. Open Championships. She dominated the Australian, giving up only a single game in a stunning 6-1, 6-0 wipeout of round two.
That matches her first round matchup in the tournament, where she also only gave up one game and went on to win. Yep, Maria Sharapova has only lost TWO GAMES after two matches. Jeez…
‘’I served pretty well and I did a pretty good job of being solid,'’ Maria Sharapova said. ‘’But it’s only going to get harder from…'’

Nick Heidfeld wants a piece of Fernando Alonso too
Friday, August 31st, 2007
Everybody now wants a piece of two-time F1 world champion Fernando Alonso.
After this somewhat strange dissension going on within the McLaren camp in the 2007 F1 season, more specifically, the ongoing feud between the two McLaren teammates Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton, it seems BMW driver Nick Heidfeld wants to join in on the fray.
You see, there are rumors going around that Fernando Alonso is just dying to get out of McLaren at the end of the 2007 F1 season and leave the team to Hamilton for all he cares. And if there are any possible destinations for the two-time F1 world champion, Nick Heidfeld and his manager, Werner Heinz, hopes BMW is one of them.
No, these guys don’t believe Alonso can actually win the constructor’s championship for them, they just want the Spaniard to join their team just so Heidfeld can show to the rest of the world how he can fuck with Alonso’s mind, like what Lewis Hamilton has been doing these days.
Quite pathetic huh?
BMW, along with the very team he left to join McLaren, Renault, (who are still the defending F1 constructors champions despite their pathetic campaign this year…) are the two major…

Milwaukee Bucks will have Yi Jianlian at center
Friday, August 31st, 2007
Yep, they finally ended what has been a boring stretch of speculation regarding the fate of a seven-foot Chinese giant.
Seven-foot Chinese rookie, Yi Jianlian, finally signed a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks for the 2007-08 NBA basketball season in November after refusing to play in a city that his people claim, doesn’t have any Chinese community whatsoever.
Apparently, Portland has some sort of Chinese community Yi Jianlian was looking for. Yep, he wanted to be a Blazer when he entered the 2007 NBA Draft. After the Portland Trailblazers drafted the towering giant Greg Oden, Yianlian’s dreams of playing in the NBA in front of his Chinese people began to have one or two problems.
After pulling off some sort of a miracle that saw Yi Jianlian finally signing with the Bucks, a miracle that will also pay Jianlian’s former team, the Guangdong Tigers, some cash, the Milwaukee Bucks probably has gotten over their first obstacle heading towards the 2007-08 NBA basketball season.
Of course, winning in the same season is an entirely different story altogether.
Unexpectedly, Yi Jianlian was happy that he finally signed a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks. The same team he, together with his…

2007 NCAA College Football Season starts Thursday
Thursday, August 30th, 2007
Finally, football is here and although the NFL season is STILL a few more days away, college football will do for now.
Yep, it’s time to play some football. There, I wrote it, a now infamous cliché obviously overused by ESPN in covering these games on the football field. And oh yeah, you’ll start hearing more of it Thursday night as ESPN opens up the brand new 2007 NCAA college football season when the No.2 ranked LSU Tigers take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
And you’ll like it too, even though the game will be played in a godforsaken place like Mississippi. Hmm… Maybe that’s why the Bulldogs haven’t had a winning season since 2000 eh? Yep, they just SUCK on the football field for seven straight years now.
For what it’s worth, the Mississippi locals still are very passionate about their football although there’s really nothing to be passionate about their Bulldogs.
Mississippi State Bulldogs head coach Sylvester Croom said, ‘’People are very passionate about Mississippi State football and I’m looking forward to this game and this season with a great deal of excitement.'’
Let’s hope these guys win some games for a change for their sake, and wish…

Oakland Raiders will decide on starting QB Thursday
Thursday, August 30th, 2007
If the overall No.1 draft pick just signed his name on that contract, then we wouldn’t have the confusion we have now right?
Instead, the Oakland Raiders still don’t have the answer on who will man that spot behind center in the 2007 NFL football season. And did I mention we are merely days before that season gets underway?
In what was originally a three-way triple threat match for the WWE heavyweight… er… starting QB job in Oakland, it now boils down to two, Daunte Culpepper (Raiders, pick this guy already…) and Josh McCown. (Holy f#ck!ng C#r!st!.. Nooo…)
Yep, it’s between both of them now with Oakland Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin already giving up on his prized rookie, JaMarcus Russell, after the former LSU Tigers QB missed the opening days of training camp.
As for Andrew Walter, the statuesque I - can’t - move - even - if - it - kills - me QB has been relegated to quarterback No.3 in coach Kiffin’s QB depth chart.
The Oakland Raiders will take on the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday for the final preseason game of the… well… preseason and…

Michael Vick to plead guilty Monday and end NFL career
Sunday, August 26th, 2007
It sure damn looks like it.
In case you’ve been living under a rock lately, Atlanta Falcons QB (soon to be former anyway…) Michael Vick has been having his problems with the courts lately, merely weeks before the 2007-08 NFL football season begins, after virtually getting his ass screwed by dogfighting scandals.
And now, Michael Vick is probably bidding his NFL football career goodbye as he prepares to plead guilty to the federal dogfighting conspiracy charges. Yep, Vick is expected to plead guilty on Monday, August 27.
For what it’s
worth, at least he can still watch WWE SummerSlam this Sunday as a free man right? He he… And if I was Michael Vick, I’d start watching WWE chairman Vince McMahon’s programs from now on. You never know when he will come up with another football league that might just sign anyone who can throw a football.
Yep, even dog-killers like him.
But for now, the Atlanta Falcons QB prepares to plead guilty and is probably setting himself up for up to FIVE YEARS in prison too. Man, I wouldn’t want to be in Vick’s shoes even if…

David Coulthard claims Ferrari is ANTI-Felipe Massa
Sunday, August 26th, 2007
Don’t ask me why the hell is this guy meddling with Ferrari affairs.
Dissension within teams has become somewhat of a trend in the 2007 F1 season. We all know McLaren is already having a lot of shit lately with the ongoing rivalry between the two-time F1 world champion Fernando Alonso and current championship points leader, F1 rookie driver Lewis Hamilton.
It turns out that the dissension going on within the Ferrari side, on the other hand, has now become something more interesting than we probably thought. But then again, maybe not. One thing’s for sure though, David Coulthard, a man who has no business whatsoever meddling with Ferrari’s business, is trying to anyway.
The former McLaren driver and current Red Bull star claimed that the Italian Ferrari team is favoring Kimi Raikkonen more than their Brazilian driver, Felipe Massa. I guess the guy has no idea Ferrari ALWAYS favor basically anyone other than a Brazilian.
We all saw some of that when Michael Schumacher won a race for Ferrari after the team ordered Schumi’s Brazilian teammate, Rubens Barrichello, to back off and let Schumacher get the…

Steelers Legend, Jerome Bettis, screwed the Steelers
Sunday, August 26th, 2007
Funny eh?
Yep, after the Pittsburgh Steelers gave Jerome Bettis all those carries despite having a hot running back in Willie Parker, after they gave him the chance to retire on top despite looking like he should’ve retired three years ago and after they gave him the Super Bowl ring he desperately wanted despite playing like an aging overweight snail, Jerome Bettis now tells us he just screwed the Pittsburgh Steelers.
For all ya’ll who don’t know it yet, Jerome Bettis, one of the best NFL tailbacks to ever play the game, now has a book. (Yep, like most retired sports athletes these days…)
And in his book which will be out in September entitled, ‘’The bus. My Life in and out of a Helmet,'’ he says he screwed his own team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, by faking an injury to avoid getting cut by the team back in 2000.
It turns out that Jerome Bettis came to training camp then with a knee that had been surgically repaired the previous summer and fearing that he might lose his job when the Steelers see him as the overweight overpaid sonuvabitch that he really is…

More Problems for Manchester United on Sunday as they play the Spurs without Edwin van der Sar
Sunday, August 26th, 2007
Ya’ think the defending English Premiership champions have enough problems already? Get this…
After Manchester United lost Wayne Rooney indefinitely, and after starting the 2007 English Premiere League season in such pathetic fashion for defending Premiership champs, Man-U lost key goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, leaving the Man-U goal virtually unguarded on Sunday when they take on the Tottenham Spurs.
Edwin van der Sar injured his left foot in a training ground collision with Dirk Kuyt, failing to take part in a friendly fixture with Switzerland last Wednesday. Yeah, sure, the damage on his foot is really not that serious but he is STILL a major doubt for Sunday’s fixture against the Spurs.
Hell, Manchester United desperately need him too. (Especially with Wayne Rooney out…) After only scoring two measly points in the opening three games of the 2007 English Premiere League season, Man-U better get their act together quick or we could very well see the most pathetic title defense since the Miami Heat in the last NBA basketball season.
Tomasz Kuszczak is the man Man-U boss Sir Alex Ferguson is pinpointing to man the Red Devils goal. It will be his seventh league start since arriving from West Brom at the start of the last term.
One thing going for Kuszczak heading to his…
