2007-08 NFL Football Week 11 Gambling Guide
The New England Patriots are playing again and yes, I already miss their OH-SO-DOMINANT form.
The Pats, after dominating the football field for NINE straight games this 2007-08 NFL football season, are coming off their bye-week and will be back on the field against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football. This should be a good one considering how bad these Pats pounded Buffalo the last time they played.
The New England Patriots pounded the Bills 38-7 then for their third straight win of what would be a dominant nine-game winning streak. The Bills, on the other hand, lost starting QB J.P. Losman during that game after taking a rather vicious hit from the Patriots defense.
However, instead of simply folding, the Buffalo Bills used that loss to the Patriots as a wake-up call as they went on to a 5-1 stand since losing Losman. Led by rookie quarterback Trent Edwards, the Bills just kept on winning, shocking most of us every week. Their only loss belongs to the Dallas Cowboys in a game they almost won too, 25-24.
Well, J.P. Losman will be starting for the Buffalo Bills again in his personal rematch with the New England Patriots defense. Come game time, Losman returning wouldn’t matter because Tom Brady, Randy Moss and the rest of the Pats are just too good right now to let this season’s Cinderella teams like Buffalo steal one against them.
Pick the New England Patriots to beat the Buffalo Bills -13.5 again.
But before the bright lights of Sunday Night Football gets its turn on the tube, the red-hot Green Bay Packers will be hosting the Carolina Panthers at legendary Lambeau Field. The Packers have been on a roll with an impressive 8-1 stand and after that road block against the Chicago Bears, these guys are at it again, winning four games in a row.
As for the Carolina Panthers, they are coming into Lambeau Field with a miserable three-game losing streak. They are 4-5 right now, holding on to that No.2 spot in a weak NFC South division. Come game time, these guys will probably drop even further down their division as the Packers go for their 9th win of the season, their 5th straight win.
Pick the cheeseheads to beat the Panthers -6.5
And last but not the least, Monday Night Football has somewhat a ”better” game this week after that ugly shutout game we saw between the Seahawks and the Niners the last time. The Tennessee Titans travel to one of those tough places to win a football game, Invesco Field, to play the Denver Broncos in a game both teams desperately need to win.
The Titans are coming off a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars coming into this one despite the superb passing performance from Vince Young, dropping a game-high 257 passing yards in a 28-13 loss to Jacksonville. You see, Young rarely have games like this as he likes to run with the football instead of letting it fly towards his receivers. Against the Broncos, Young better stick with his game because Champ Bailey WILL BE WAITING if ever the young (no pun intended…) Titan decides to throw it more again.
The 4-5 Denver Broncos sit at the No.2 spot behind the 5-4 San Diego Chargers in the AFC West, similar to the 6-3 Titans who are sitting with the Jags at No.2 behind the 7-2 Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South. This game should be a good one considering both competing teams are only a game back behind their respective division leaders.
Who’ll win? I’m picking the Denver Broncos -6.5 over the Tennessee Titans just because Champ Bailey’s there.
