2007-08 NFL Football Week 14 Gambling Guide
It’s Week 14 and while people may disagree on which teams should go to a BCS bowl game, there’s nothing like that in the NFL.
Yep, because quite frankly, the title contenders are already separating themselves from the rest of the pack by a considerable margin after thirteen weeks into the 2007-08 NFL football season.
And speaking of separating themselves from the rest of the field, there’s no other team in the NFL right now that have separated themselves more than the still perfect New England Patriots. At 12-0, they should be the heavy favorites to represent the AFC in Super Bowl XLII at Glendale. And with their closest rivals, the Indianapolis Colts, STILL two games behind them, that shouldn’t change anytime soon.
They have the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday in a game many are claiming to be the very game that will stop the Pats in their pursuit of perfection. But if New England’s come-from-behind win over Baltimore last week is any indication of how motivated these Pats are in winning football games this year, the Steel Curtain wouldn’t stand a chance.
New England already brought one defensive powerhouse from Baltimore down last week and I reckon defensive powerhouse No.2 will go down the same way. Pick the Pats -13.5 over the Steel Curtain this Sunday.
Speaking of the Baltimore Ravens, they are scheduled to face yet another offensive-minded team in the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football after their affair with New England last week.
And yes, things are not looking so good for Baltimore considering that they will be welcoming a red-hot Indianapolis Colts contingent that won three straight games. And if Tom Brady can will his way to a come-from-behind win over the Baltimore defense, you can just imagine what the reigning Super Bowl MVP, Peyton Manning, can do on Sunday night.
Pick the Indianapolis Colts -6.5 to smash the Ravens to their 7th straight loss.
On Monday Night Football, we have a football game that may very well force you to just switch to Monday Night RAW. (And in case you don’t know what the hell I’m talking about, it’s Vince McMahon’s weekly wrestling program that aims to steal a piece of the viewing audience on a Monday night…)
Why? Well, two struggling teams will be featured on the NFL’s weekly primetime extravaganza. It’s the New Orleans Saints visiting the Atlanta Falcons and although it could still be a feel-good story for the city of New Orleans, it shouldn’t be if you’re a Saints, or Falcons fan.
Both the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons are sitting at the very bottom of the NFC South. Both teams are below .500 and will be going nowhere once we end the regular season. Yep, you shouldn’t even bother watching this crapfest.
But if you still insist to bet on this one, just pick the Saints -2.5 over the Falcons just because the Falcons are currently on a downward spiral, losing three straight coming into this one while the Saints will just be trying to end their season on a high note.
Here’s the rest of them picks for Week 14.
Jacksonville Jaguars over the Carolina Panthers -13.5
Dallas Cowboys over the Detroit Lions -13.5
Buffalo Bills over the Miami Dolphins (WTF?!? Are you still expecting these sick fucks from Miami win a goddamn game???)
New York Giants over the Philadelphia Eagles -2.5
Green Bay Packers over the Oakland Raiders -13.5
San Diego Chargers over the Tennessee Titans -13.5
Cincinnati Bengals over the St. Louis Rams -6.5
Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the Houston Texans -6.5
