Did the Boston Celtics just land Kevin Garnett?
Rumors have it that a deal was in place Monday although it’s not official yet, but if KG does make the move, Boston will have a scary triangle.
He he… Yep, it only occurred to me lately too. Kevin Garnett, after claiming that he won’t be playing in Boston or anywhere near the Red Sox-infested city, is reportedly warming up to the idea probably because Ray Allen ‘’accidentally'’ got there and the Eastern Conference is still pathetic.
Both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Boston Celtics resumed talks for this proposed ‘’Kevin Garnett exodus'’ that started way back before last season’s trading deadline.
Former Boston teammates, Timberwolves boss Kevin McHale and Celtics head honcho Danny Ainge have revived the deal that would end KG’s loyal 12-year stay in the Twin Cities. Although I still don’t get Mr. McHale for still trying to get rid of a player like Kevin fucking Garnett. What a moron.
If this KG deal do goes through, the Minnesota Timberwolves will receive blossoming forward Al Jefferson and Theo Ratliff’s expiring contract. Yep, you read it, the Wolves’ only interest in Ratliff is his expiring contract because quite frankly, the guy just plays pathetic these days.
THAT means, the Boston Celtics could welcome the brand new 2007-08 NBA basketball season with a rather nasty trio of stars that include Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. If that happens, then maybe, just maybe, we can finally forget about LeBron James and Dwyane Wade’s shoulder in the East for good.
Kevin Garnett initially wanted to remain with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the 2007-08 NBA season and probably for the rest of his career but with his dumb boss STILL trying to get rid of him, it looks like there’s no turning back now.
Besides, KG and Pierce are the best of friends now, and with a THIRD star in Ray Allen who can light up the scoreboard anytime he wants joining the fray, a move to the Boston Celtics, all of a sudden, has brought a smirk in KG’s mug.
Will Kevin Garnett move to Boston and lead the Celtics to the title? Who will win the 2007-08 NBA championship? Bet on Bodog today.
