First taste of Terrell Owens this 2007-08 NFL Season
Yep, it was only a matter of time before T.O. either runs his mouth or gets his ass fined.
In this case, it was the latter. Yep, the Dallas Cowboys controversial wideout, Terrell Owens, was fined after last Sunday’s touchdown celebration when he poked fun a little bit on Bill Belichick’s ‘’spying camera scandal” in this 2007-08 NFL football season.
”A good chunk of money,” that’s how Terrell Owens defined the amount of cash the NFL wanted from him after he was fined for probably the hundredth time in his career.
T.O. was fined $7,500 after the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver used the goal post and a football for a reenactment of the Patriots’ cameraman spying on the Jets’ defensive coaches.
All that for his now infamous touchdown celebrations. Oh yeah, in case you were wondering, the rest of the Cowboys had plenty after smashing the Miami Dolphins, 37-20, that fateful Sunday.
”It wasn’t even the fact I used the goal post as a prop,” Terrell Owens said. ”They said I used the ball.”
As always, Terrell Owens is confused and frustrated by the NFL’s rules on touchdown celebrations. Either that or they’re just sick of T.O. and every single thing he does.
”It’s kind of hard to understand the rules,” Owens said. ”It’s like you can’t do nothing no more. Dude, it’s like they’re trying to find any way to take fun out of the game. So I’m kind of limited right now as far as what I can do.”
Owens’ ‘’spying cameraman TD celebration,” was planned days before last Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. According to Owens, he got suggestions from callers on his weekly radio show.
At least T.O. takes care of his listeners eh?
