Have we seen the last of the Cowboys in NFL Football?

Disappointing.

Yep, that’s the only way you can describe the NFL Football season these guys had. After all, they did found gold in Tony Romo, replacing the immobile Drew Bledsoe at the starting quarterback position. They did sign Terrell Owens despite all that shit he brings to the field with him to win a Super Bowl title.

However, despite a very promising run at the beginning of the season, the Dallas Cowboys came up just a little short, a field goal short in fact, to win their first playoff game since Dallas Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells took over.

Last Saturday’s 21-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks denied Bill Parcells of his first win in the post-season. Parcells has now failed to win a single playoff game in FOUR goddamn seasons with the ‘Boys and as off press time, his future with America’s team is in doubt.

Parcells said he doubts he will meet with Jones this week about his future. In fact, he said he’s not sure when he will meet with Jones.

”I haven’t thought about it right now,” Bill Parcells said. ”I’m going to think about it and we’ll see.”

Asked how he rated his job of coaching, Parcells was quick to dismiss the evaluation process. The loss hit him as hard as it did his players. ”Fellows, I’m not going to do a state of the union after one of these games,” Parcells said. ”I did the best I could. But it wasn’t good enough.”

Meanwhile, Dallas’ biggest acquisition in the offseason, Terrell Owens, is in the bubble as well. Owens was signed out of desperation to put the Cowboys over the top but against the Seahawks last Saturday, T.O. caught only two passes for 26 yards and no TDs in a playoff game against a Seahawks team that started a rookie cornerback and three safeties.

Unthinkable.

And as expected, the league’s most controversial wideout played the blame game one more time this season.

”Everyone knows they had some corners that hadn’t been playing and were playing some guys who came off the street,” Owens said. ”For whatever reason, we didn’t take advantage of those opportunities.”

And to think this is coming from a guy who leads the league in dropped passes.
