Here are your NBA Thursday Games Betting Picks
Thursday, February 21st, 2008
Let’s pretend these picks were done by an ‘’expert'’ since you can’t hold us accountable if you lose BIG TIME on Thursday… He he…
Now that THAT is out of the way, yes, the 2007-08 NBA basketball season resumes on Thursday, a day after both Shaquille O’Neal and Jason Kidd made their respective debuts, losing like the old farts that they are.
And while watching Shaquille O’Neal play surprisingly well only to be spoiled by his STILL pathetic free throws not to mention losing to one of his former teams from Los Angeles, ENTERTAINING to say the least, Shaq’s ex-teammates from Miami are playing on Thursday and watching those sick fucks lose again should be a treat.
Yes people, the pathetic, god-forsaken, complete waste of human flesh, otherwise known as the Miami Heat, will be visiting Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady and the rest of the Houston Rockets in Texas. I can already sense the ass-whoopin’ those sick fucks from Miami will be getting in the Lone Star state.
The Houston Rockets, one of the hottest teams in the NBA this year, have won their last nine games to improve to 18-3 since January 4. NBA oddsmakers put the spread against the surging Rockets –11 against the hapless…

Duke is FUCKED heading to the 2008 March Madness
Thursday, February 21st, 2008
What’s going on with Duke lately?
After cruising through the first 23 games of the 2007-08 NCAA college basketball season with a dominant 22-1 record, the Duke Blue Devils hit a rather big speed bump. They lost two straight games, losing their last one to, of all teams, that club from the cesspool in Miami.
Yes people, the Miami Hurricanes, a team that has no business playing on a hardwood and should just stick with pigskin, actually defeated the powerhouse team of the Duke Blue Devils, giving Mike Krzyzewski back-to-back losses for the first time this season.
‘’Our team, there’s something missing this week,'’ Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski said. ‘’We are not the same team these last two ballgames. It’s almost like someone has come in and invaded their bodies.'’
Although watching somebody invade Mike Krzyzewski’s body is the last thing I’d like to see, the dude may have a point. In their last two games, Duke is scoring fewer points while allowing 24 more points from the opposition per contest.
Duke’s shooting percentages are also…

Shaquille O’Neal and Jason Kidd debut with a loss
Thursday, February 21st, 2008
So much about them kicking things off with their new teams on a high note eh?
Yes, it was debut night for both Shaquille O’Neal and Jason Kidd as they played with their new teams Wednesday night after getting traded this 2007-08 NBA basketball season.
However, both stars failed to help their respective teams to a win. Shaquille O’Neal started things off with the Phoenix Suns losing to the Los Angeles Lakers 130-124 while Jason Kidd was outplayed by Chris Paul and ended up losing his first game back with the Dallas Mavericks after the New Orleans Hornets came up with the 104-93 win.
Ouch. Definitely not the way to kick things off after all the hype that surrounded each players’ debut nights. For Shaq and Jason Kidd, let’s hope their next game ends up in the win column. I mean, puh-lease… the teams that traded for them gave up a lot just to land them there and losing is probably not included in their agenda when they dealt for them.
Lets start with J-Kidd’s return to the Dallas Mavericks. Kidd was…

2008 Beijing, China Olympic Games may have One World, One Dream but they sure have a lot of games
Thursday, February 21st, 2008
Forgive me, I know that title for this article is weaker than Shaq’s free throws.
But since we’re hyping up the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, we really don’t have much of a choice but to use weak titles like these since we really don’t give a rat’s ass about what’s coming to Beijing six months from now.
For our Asian brothers like Jackie Chan and Yao Ming who do, yes, the Games of the XXIX Olympiad kicks off from August 8 to 24, kicking off at the Beijing National Stadium in China.
The Olympic slogan, ‘’One World, One Dream,'’ calls upon the world to unite in the Olympic spirit. ‘’One World One Dream'’ fully reflects the essence and the universal values of the Olympic spirit That’s unity, friendship, progress, harmony, participation and dream.
The Olympic slogan expresses the common wishes of people all over the world, inspired by the Olympic ideals, to strive for a bright future of Mankind.
The program for the Beijing 2008 Games is quite similar to that of the Athens Games held in 2004. The 2008 Beijing Olympics will see the return of 28 sports, and will hold 302 events (165 men’s events, 127 women’s events, and…)

Second Half of 2008 NBA Basketball Season begins
Tuesday, February 19th, 2008
Yes people, the NBA finally returns on Tuesday and with that, we’ll be trying to fill you in on which teams to pick until the NBA Finals.
First, the Houston Rockets visit the Cleveland Cavaliers two days after Ohio’s basketball God, that’s LeBron James of course, was awarded with the MVP of the All-Star game this 2007-08 NBA basketball season.
LeBron James was named Most Valuable Player of the recently concluded 2008 NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans, so the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers SHOULD BE pumped up to play the Houston Rockets. Houston is 4-1-1 against the spread in its last 6 games. The Cleveland Cavaliers, on the other hand are 2-4. Common sense says you should take Houston but when you talk about LeBron, common sense, AND reality for that matter, is thrown out the window.
Pick the Cleveland Cavaliers to cover the +1 spread over Houston at the Quicken Loans Arena.
The struggling New York Knicks visit the Washington Wizards, hoping that they’ll be able to kick off the second half of the season on the right track. The Knicks are 4-0-1 against the spread in its last 5 games on the road, probably because everybody is expecting them to lose BIG…
Pick the New York Knicks to cover against the Washington Wizards just because Wizards star Caron Butler could still be out come…

Can Kansas Jayhawks withstand March Madness?
Tuesday, February 19th, 2008
Well, that’s what those guys from Sportsbetting.com are saying anyway.
With 9-2 odds to win it all this 2008 NCAA college basketball season, the Kansas Jayhawks join the UCLA Bruins as the teams to beat in the coming madness this March. That’s according to the folks who work with Sportsbetting.com.
The Kansas Jayhawks are ranked 4th in the AP Top 25 polls, while the UCLA Bruins sit at No.6 overall with a 22-3 record. Of course, we have more than enough of college hoops left until March Madness so don’t expect those rankings to remain the way it is at this point of the season.
As far as the team at the top is concerned, the Memphis Tigers still remain unbeaten with an incredible 25-0 record. But just because we’ve grown tired of unbeaten teams staying unbeaten lately, (and after the once perfect New England Patriots suffered their first loss at the Super Bowl… DAMMIT…) we’re not expecting those guys to remain perfect as well.
The Tennessee Volunteers sit behind the No.1 Tigers with a 23-2 record. Can they keep this up ’til March Madness? Um… Probably not.
Perhaps the biggest rivalry in all of college hoops is being relived this season with both the North Carolina Tar Heels and the…

Nuggets could face Celtics with returning Kevin Garnett
Tuesday, February 19th, 2008
That’s this Tuesday people, when the Boston Celtics visit Denver for the Nuggets.
And although we’re still probably in awe of Dwight Howard’s ‘’Superman slam dunk'’ in the 2008 NBA All-Star weekend, it looks like Kevin Garnett is already putting his game face back on, targeting Tuesday as the day when he will be back in the Boston Celtics lineup.
‘’I'm trying to play Tuesday,'’ Kevin Garnett said from NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans. ‘’It’s been miserable. To be honest, miserable. But I’m in a good place mentally. I’m dealing with it.'’
The Big Ticket has already missed NINE games of the 2007-08 NBA basketball season. Despite that, because of the ridiculously talented lineup they have in Boston, the Celtics are still a very very good team without KG, posting a 7-2 record without the big guy.
Hell, the Boston Celtics are riding from a five-game winning streak, winning eight of their last ten games, coming into Denver possibly WITH Kevin Garnett. They still own the best record in the league, now at 41-9 and with KG coming back, I’m betting another winning streak of ten to fifteen games is in the…

Is Jason Kidd still going back to the Dallas Mavericks or will the New Jersey Nets keep him there?
Tuesday, February 19th, 2008
Apparently, completing the Jason Kidd trade is what both the Mavericks and the Nets are after.
After Devean George messed up the latest of a series of HUGE trades that make the 2007-08 NBA basketball season such a thrill to watch, it looks like the deal that will bring Jason Kidd back to the very team that drafted him to the NBA is still a go.
Yes, not even Devean George will be able to stop it this time. As it turns out, the Dallas Mavericks and the New Jersey Nets are still trying to come up with a deal that will finally green light the Jason Kidd trade. And rumors have it that both teams are ‘’close'’ to completing it… again.
New Jersey Nets president Rod Thorn sent a report to the media that says Jason Kidd is indeed leaving New Jersey to return to the Dallas Mavericks, the team that drafted him to the NBA where he won the NBA Rookie of the Year award with Grant Hill.
This time though, the name Devean George, won’t be a part of the deal. The new deal has Jason Kidd, Malik Allen and Antoine Wright of the New Jersey Nets going to Dallas in exchange for Devin Harris, DeSagana Diop, Maurice Ager, Trenton Hassell and… get this… Keith Van Horn.
You read it people, Keith Van Horn could be making a return once this deal…

The 2008 NBA All-Star Weekend was one helluva’ show
Monday, February 18th, 2008
The East won, Dwight Howard was awesome and Dwyane Wade sucked. That’s the All-Star Weekend in a nutshell people.
And just in case you missed the NBA’s midseason extravaganza, that’s the 2008 NBA All-Star Weekend for all ya’ll who still didn’t get it, we saw the Eastern All-Stars whoop the West 134-128 a day after Dwight Howard tore the house down with his Superman costume and his ‘’are you kiddin’ me?!?'’ slam dunk.
As far as Dwyane Wade is concerned, he he.., the guy couldn’t even put the basketball through the hoop from POINT BLANK range in the PlayStation skills challenge… THRICE. He he…
And although watching Dwyane Wade get his ass smoked by Deron Williams on All-Star Saturday, enough to make the league’s 57th All-Star weekend worth my while, Dwight Howard made it even more than that when he revealed the Superman costume he was wearing under his jersey, put on a cape, and literally flew for another 50-point jaw-dropping slam in the Sprite Slam Dunk contest.
Wow.
Yes, the festivities before the highly anticipated Sunday night game sure was something, probably making the rest of us wonder if…

Is Eli Manning the new Madden NFL 2009 cover boy?
Monday, February 18th, 2008
First thing’s first, Vince Young didn’t succumb to the dreaded Madden curse last season after gracing the 2008 cover.
Now that THAT is out of the way, it looks like EA Sports is planning to get somebody who WILL. After all, despite winning Super Bowl XLII and being named Super Bowl MVP, Eli Manning is STILL a guy ‘’most susceptible'’ to either get injured, play like a jackass or screw his team of a title. That is probably why he’s one of the leading candidates to grace the cursed Madden cover next season.
In case you have no idea what this Madden curse is, it’s EA Sports’ annual video game franchise that, more often than not, ‘’fucks up'’ NFL players after becoming the game’s cover boys. It was able to get Michael Vick, Donovan McNabb and Shaun Alexander the past few years.
And although it failed to get the young Vince Young (pun intended…) of the Tennessee Titans last season, it looks like the Madden curse will be making a return next season once it gets New York Giants quarterback, Eli, as its cover boy.
Eli Manning, this year’s Super Bowl winner and MVP, becomes a definite possibility.
Until the last game of the NFL regular season, no one would’ve given him any…
