Camby hates the Nuggets for trading him to the Clippers
Who would love to play for the Clippers anyway?
As we inch closer to the brand new 2008-09 NBA basketball season, we already have two players who were fortunate enough to get out of that Clipper uniform. Elton Brand is already in Philadelphia and Correy Maggette is now with Golden State.
What’s left is a Los Angeles Clippers team with absolutely no stars whatsoever. Hell, they can’t win with both Brand and Maggette anyway and with both of those guys gone, how in the hell can people expect them to start winning next season?
It’s understandable why players wouldn’t want to be in this shithole. I know I know, at least the Clippers are not as pathetic as the Miami Heat yet but with the rate that they are going, they’re going to be sooner or later.
And unfortunately for Marcus Camby, he was traded by the Denver Nuggets to this team. And as far as that goes, I can’t blame the guy for being this mad to his former team for trading him to a team like the Clippers.
You read it, the Denver Nuggets traded away Marcus Camby, the epicenter of their defense and the league’s leading shot blocker for the last three years, to the Los Angeles Clippers for, get this, the option to exchange second round picks with the Clippers in 2010.
Wha?!? Now THAT is a slap to Camby’s face, no matter how you look at it.
‘’When I heard of the trade, I said, ‘Who did Denver get in return?”’ Marcus Camby said. When he learned that none of his new teammates were involved, it came to him that the Nuggets LITERALLY just gave him away.
‘’I thought the way [the Nuggets] went about it was classless,'’ Camby said. ‘’I thought it could have gone down a whole lot better. I’ll get over it once training camp begins when I’m around the guys. You never forget. I’m definitely looking forward to those couple games we play against Denver.'’
You just know it’s ON now right?
