Chad Johnson still hates the Cincinnati Bengals

Nyuk nyuk nyuk… Mr. Johnson, it’s about time.

With still more than a few months before the brand new 2008-09 NFL football season begins, it seems Chad Johnson has no plans whatsoever of playing another game with the Bengals in this lifetime or the next.

For all ya’ll who didn’t know, the Cincinnati Bengals have already started preseason workouts and Chad Johnson was nowhere to be seen. It turned out that Johnson decided to miss his team’s first preseason workout to make it loud and clear that he’s unhappy with how he is perceived in Cincinnati.

Chad Johnson”I can’t force them to trade me. I’m just trying to let them know I’m not happy,” Chad Johnson told the media.

”We’re fooling ourselves not doing things we need to do to compete with the Indy’s, the Jacksonville’s, Dallas. How do you let Shaun Rogers get away? That helps your run defense. Our defense gives us a chance to win.”

Apparently, Chad Johnson and Shaun Rogers realized they are soulmates destined to spend the rest of their lives together. That’s until Rogers was booted out of Cincinnati.

”I’m frustrated. I’m feeling like our fans felt 10 or 11 years before I got here and now we’re going backward, not forward. We finished 11-5, 8-8, 7-9. What are we gonna be this season coming up?”

The Bengals’ second target, wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh, also skipped the initial workout for the second straight year. Chad Johnson never missed these, until the Bengals organization pissed him off this year.

With no wide receivers to run their pass routes with, starting quarterback Carson Palmer is left alone on the field with virtually nobody to pass the rock to, other than himself.

”I wish they were here,” Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer said of the two receivers, ”but we’ll work with what we’ve got and the guys that are here. That’s exciting, too.”

Sure it is. Keep telling yourself that.
