Cowboys beat Eagles in Texas Monday Night Shootout
This was probably one of the best games ever seen on Monday Night Football.
Yep, and what a treat that one was. We’re only two weeks into the 2008-09 NFL football season and we already have the pleasure of witnessing a game so good, we can now just sit back, relax and hope the remaining games for the next 15 weeks will be just as good as this one.
It was a battle between two of the best football teams in the NFC as the Philadelphia Eagles took a visit at Texas Stadium to play their rivals from Dallas. And of course, whenever Philadelphia and Dallas play against each other in a football game, it’ll all be about what Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens will do to each other next.
And since Terrell Owens have already
helped the Dallas Cowboys to become one of the best teams in football again after literally fucking things up with Donovan McNabb in Philly, having a game where both Owens and McNabb will have the opportunity to outplay each other is must-see TV.
Both teams were looking for a perfect 2-0 start. The Dallas Cowboys, led by Tony Romo, took care of the Browns at the Dog Pound the week before while the Philadelphia Eagles literally took advantage of the Rams to kick off their campaign.
It is understandable that both teams are looking for a trip to Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Florida after starting the season strong and they know winning their face-off on Monday Night Football will be big, to say the least.
Unfortunately for Philly, the night belongs to the Cowboys after former Eagle, Terrell Owens, caught two TDs to help lift the Cowboys over the Eagles 41-37. Those touchdowns put T.O. second all-time on the TD receptions list behind only to the incomparable Jerry Rice.
But you just know that at the end of the day, Owens was only happy about one thing and one thing only, that’s being able to score another victory over Donovan McNabb and the Eagles.
The next meeting between these two teams will be on December 28 in Philly and you just know Eagles fans can’t wait to holler obscenities on that cocky wide receiver wearing no.81.
