Dallas Cowboys CB Adam Jones hates Pacman too…
Looks like you too can’t wait for the new NFL season to begin eh?
And while Adam Jones do not know ‘’the Pacman'’ Manny Pacquiao personally, or give a rat’s ass about the guy, he hates Pacman. And by that, I mean he no longer wants to be called by that moniker after being known as Adam ‘’Pacman'’ Jones in his career in the NFL.
With merely a few months left before the 2008-09 NFL football season begins, Adam (formerly known as Pacman…) Jones wants to have a fresh start with his new team, the Dallas Cowboys, after being banned for an entire season as a member of the Tennessee Titans.
‘’There’s really just a lot of negativity
behind it,'’ new Dallas Cowboys CB Adam Jones said. ‘’It’s just time for a change, man. I’m doing everything to make sure that I’m all right as a person, mentally and emotionally.'’
After missing the 2007 NFL season as Adam ‘’Pacman'’ Jones, the Cowboys took a chance and landed the guy after giving up draft picks in April. And while it is still a question whether he can finally return to the field for the Cowboys’ season opener on September 7, he is hoping that by dropping the silly ‘’Pacman'’ moniker, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will find it in his heart to let him play.
‘’My mom is going to call me ‘Pacman.’ That is what it is. I can’t change that,'’ Jones said. ‘’I'm not saying that my teammates won’t call me ‘Pacman’ on the field. But for the most part, I want to be Adam or Mr. Jones.'’
Yeah yeah, we heard you the first time dumbass. Although I’m still thankful that at least that’s one less guy putting the name of one of the greatest video game characters ever created in vain in the world of sports.
As for that OTHER guy, I’m still hoping David Diaz knocks him out silly this Saturday.
