F1 star Lewis Hamilton to win the 2008 Spanish GP?

After three races into the F1 season, it seems Lewis Hamilton is not in the position he was expected to be in.

You read it people, although FIA president Max Mosley has been plaguing the headlines this season, some people are still interested in Formula One because of the actual racing and speaking of racing, last year’s rookie sensation is having some problems with it.

Three races of the 2008 F1 season are already in the history books. We’ve all seen what Australia, Malaysia and Bahrain brought to the table with defending champ Kimi Raikkonen on top after races one, two and three.

As we start the ‘’European season'’ Lewis Hamiltonof Formula One in Spain, McLaren - Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton dropped to third place after finishing 13th in Bahrain. With all the hype surrounding the ‘’next great BLACK hope'’ of F1, being in third place at this point of the F1 season is, to say the least, a disappointment.

After all, finishing 13th fastest in Bahrain is the lowest position of his 20 grands prix career and after he lost the standings lead to defending F1 world champion Kimi Raikkonen, Hamilton and his fans have all the reasons to start worrying.

For what it’s worth, the young British sensation remains optimistic about the fourth race of the season, even if it’ll be held in Spain, where he received a whole bunch of racist remarks a few months ago resulting from the rivalry he fueled last season with Spanish Renault driver, Fernando Alonso.

‘’You learn something in every race, even if you win,'’ Lewis Hamilton said.

‘’I think we have come a long way, and looking into the next race I feel very confident we can do a better job. It’s great to be back in Europe. This is when it really starts getting busy, and you are closer to home so it’s a great feeling.'’

‘’You are also closer to the team, so I think we can be a bit more productive when we are back here.'’
