Felipe Massa remains positive that he’ll win F1 Title
Three more races, thirty more points.
That’s the way it stands as we enter the three remaining races of the 2008 F1 season.
After Felipe Massa failed to score any championship point whatsoever in Singapore, the one-point lead Lewis Hamilton had on him ballooned to seven after Hamilton finished third fastest in the very first night race in Formula One.
Felipe Massa remains with 77 points while Lewis Hamilton ended up with 84. With three more races to go, there are only thirty more points to race for, making the final three races very crucial for Massa if he wants to snatch the world championship from the young British sensation.
It starts with
the 2008 F1 Japanese Grand Prix this Sunday. Massa NEEDS to win this one to have a shot of winning the title at the end of the season.
‘’As for the Championship it depends how you look at it, a seven point gap can be a lot or it can be a little,'’ Felipe Massa said.
‘’If you look at what happened to me in Singapore where my gap went from one point to seven so suddenly, then you have to consider it could easily go the other way as well.'’
‘’The most important element to consider is that we have a very good car. Without that, my chances would be much smaller. We have two good cars and we can try and get both of us to finish ahead of our rivals.'’
‘’It can be done and we need to think positive and we need to keep fighting to the last race.'’
