The 2008 NCAA college football season continues with some huge games on Saturday that will prepare you for the bunch of pro football games the NFL usually brings every sunny Sunday afternoon.

First, we have the UCLA Bruins, led by their head coach Rick Neuheisel, will have the BYU Cougars. The Bruins could not have asked for a better way to start the season than a wild 27-24 win over no.18 Tennessee.

And although the BYU Cougars also took care of their first two assignments, we like UCLA to win just because that wild win in the opening week of the season was just too impressive that betting against the Bruins could be a bad idea.

No.1 USC Trojans will face one of their toughest tasks early in the season as they battle no.3 Ohio State Buckeyes in what is now being dubbed as THE game to watch this Saturday.

USC’s 52-7 win over Virginia paved the way for these Trojans to experiment a little bit. They used three different quarterbacks, six different running backs carried the ball and, more than a handful of Trojans still were able to make their respective debuts.

A total of eight different true freshmen took the field for the Trojans, getting their first taste of collegiate competition. However, don’t expect the Trojans to do the same against OSU. In case you forgot, the Ohio State Buckeyes were heavily favored to beat the LSU Tigers in the BCS national championship a season ago.

Next up is the game between Wisconsin Badgers and Fresno State Bulldogs. The Badgers dismantled their previous opponent, Marshall Thundering Herd, 51-14 while Fresno State won over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, 24-7.

Our pick for this game would be the Bulldogs winning by two touchdowns just because they’ll have the privilege to play at home and the Scarlet Knights are obviously better competition than the Thundering Herd.
