NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell reinstates Adam Pacman Jones again, returns to the Cowboys on Dec.7
Ugh… How many chances can one man get?
After getting his ass banned (for the second time in his career) this 2008-09 NFL football season, Adam ‘’Pacman'’ Jones is back after getting reinstated by the NFL again.
You read it, Adam ‘’Pacman'’ Jones is scheduled to be back in the Dallas Cowboys roster on December 7, when the ‘Boys play the Pittsburgh Steelers in what should be a tough battle at Heinz Field.
Hopefully, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell won’t regret making this mistake TWICE. Of course, let’s hope the Dallas Cowboys organization won’t be regretting taking him back as well.
For what it’s worth, at least Pacman’s attorney is happy about it. THIS WAY, Pacman is the Cowboys’ problem now and not his. ‘’He much appreciates the Cowboys and Jerry Jones for standing behind him and encouraging him, and he’s grateful to the commissioner,'’ Worrick Robinson, Adam Jones’ Nashville-based attorney, said.
This time though, the Cowboys will no longer have bodyguards to keep Adam Jones in check. You see, they provided him with a lot of them after he was reinstated in the NFL the first time at the start of the current season but since Jones decided to fight off his own bodyguard early this campaign, the Cowboys decided it’ll just be all up to Jones now to keep his own ass in check.
At least his attorney believes the freedom will make Jones’ situation better.
‘’It all starts with him and his decision-making,'’ Robinson said. ‘’He’s comfortable making decisions for himself.'’
‘’There was a period of time where security was in place and it worked, but just like anything, it wasn’t foolproof. If the individual, in this instance, Adam, doesn’t want to make the right decisions to protect himself and the team and the league, then the security is not going to be of any benefit anyway.'’
‘’Adam and I have talked about that, and he understands that very clearly and he agrees with that. He’s willing to accept the responsibility of making his decisions without being influenced by a security guard.'’
