Robert Mizrachi comes to Day 2A of the 2008 World Series of Poker with a HUGE Chip Lead

Looks like Robert Mizrachi is determined to make a name for himself in the WSOP.

While the action in the 2008 World Series of Poker continues to heat up, one guy who has been lurking in the shadows for quite a while is making a big splash on the biggest tournament of the year.

Yup, he’s putting everybody on notice too. Robert Mizrachi has this him-against-the-world mentality and judging by the way he has been playing poker in this year’s WSOP, it looks like that mentality is doing him well. Hell, he has a huge chip lead to show for it.

Robert MizrachiMizrachi finished third on the Day 1B leaderboard of the 2008 WSOP with $142,400, trailing only Ben Sarnoff who has $177,500 and Brian Schaedlich who has accumulated $160,725.

After hovering around mediocrity for all these years, it certainly looks like this year is Mizrachi’s turn. He’ll start Tuesday’s Day 2A with a ton of chips and you just know he’ll be going for that WSOP bracelet now.

‘’It was a good start,'’ Mizrachi said. ‘’We’ll have to see where it goes.'’

Robert Mizrachi has always been trying to defy the odds. Against his more popular younger brothers Michael ‘’The Grinder'’ Mizrachi and Eric ‘’Ewee'’ Mizrachi, Robert always found himself up against the two while his younger siblings kept on ganging up on him like a Las Vegas whore.

‘’They were a pain in the ass,'’ Robert said without a hint of sarcasm.

‘’It was always two versus one,'’ Eric Mizrachi said. ‘’Rob always lost all the money. Me and Mike always won all the money from Rob. He taught us, but it took a lot of money and a lot of hours to get where we are now.'’
