Round 2 between Washington Wizards - Boston Celtics

It’s round 2 people.

Normally, we probably wouldn’t even bother telling ya’ll about a match-up between the Celtics and the Wizards, since the Celtics are ridiculously talented this 2007-08 NBA basketball season and mighty Boston pounding Washington down should be expected.

But since the Washington Wizards defeated the Boston Celtics 85-78 at the Verizon Center a few days ago, every single soul in Boston will probably be glued on this one.

Yes, you read it, the Wizards Kevin Garnettcame up with an 85-78 win over the Celtics in Washington. The win finally gave the Wizards a win over a team with a winning record for a change. And mind you, Boston doesn’t only have a winning record, they have the best record in the NBA.

Go figure.

The Washington Wizards did what few others have done this season and that’s beating Boston in the closing moments of the game. The Wizards beat the Celtics with a 15-4 run last Saturday night for the 85-78 victory.

‘’There was no time for soft hearts, or people who just couldn’t stand it,'’ Washington Wizards head coach Eddie Jordan said. ‘’It was tough at every level, mentally, physically, emotionally.'’

The Boston Celtics were up seven in the fourth quarter but somehow, the Washington Wizards were able to pull off the 15-4 run to hand Boston only their fifth loss of the season.

On Monday, expect the Boston Celtics to jump on the Wizards in Washington right from the get-go. After all, losing to the struggling Wizards, who are still without star point guard Gilbert Arenas, this season is a big NO-NO.
