The Golden State Warriors host the New York Knicks this Sunday in the 2007-08 NBA Basketball Season

The Knicks will probably be at the wrong place, at the wrong time Sunday.

Golden State is on a mission this 2007-08 NBA basketball season, and that’s to be more than just the Cinderella team that shocked the Dallas Mavericks during last year’s playoffs.

The Golden State Warriors have won seven of their last ten games and after denying the New Jersey Nets of a much needed win the last time they were on the court, these guys probably now have their ‘’mojo'’ so to speak, back after the Minnesota Timberwolves (of all teams…) humiliated them right in front of their adoring fans.

Baron DavisOh yes, the Warriors lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 109-108, in a loss so humiliating for the Warriors, head coach Don Nelson didn’t trust himself to take questions from the media.

Heck, the Minnesota Timberwolves were playing its third game in three cities in a four-day span that night. And did I mention those Wolves were riding on a pathetic 16-game losing streak on the road? Somehow, Minnesota pulled it off and the Warriors looked like… well… the Heat, at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California that night.

The next visitors were the New Jersey Nets and just like last time, it was a close one.

Thankfully, Monta Ellis just refused to lose another close one at home. Ellis dropped a career-high 39 points to help his team survive a 121-119 win over the Nets. In fairness to New Jersey, they were hitting on all cylinders.

Unfortunately for them, they hit a three-pointer in the dying seconds of the game only to find out that they needed five.

Crazy huh? The New York Knicks, one of the silliest teams you’ll ever see in the NBA this season, will visit the madness at the Oracle and if I was a betting man, I would definitely bet against these morons.
