You read it people, betting on the 2008 Olympic soccer tournament has begun with USA coming up with a 1-0 win over Japan, thanks to Stuart Holden coming up with the only goal of the fixture.

The win was the United States’ first win in soccer at the Olympic Games in eight long years (and their head coach’s first, EVER…) and obviously, they’re happy about it.

The win against Japan was a must for the U.S. if they hope to advance from this group. The United States played a scoreless draw in the first half against Japan and was fortunate not to be trailing.
