Okay, okay, we can now put that upsetting ‘’almost perfect'’ season behind us.

That is of course, if you’re a New England Patriots fan. For those of you looking for more stuff about Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, sorry if I lured ya’ll here. Hee hee…

The brand new 2008-09 NFL football season is coming and the Patriots, the team that almost finished with PERFECTION last season, goes back to square one while still trying to find the answer on what went wrong in that horrible loss to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII.

Of course, the New England Patriots will be looking to do it all over again and give the 1972 Dolphins more panic attacks. Hopefully, they won’t choose Super Bowl XLIII, if they get there, be the game they lose because Pats fans going through all that again with another possible perfect season on the line will just be too much.

Can the Patriots flirt with perfection again all the way to Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Florida? The Pats front office certainly hope so and team owner Robert Kraft, as always, likes his team’s chances.

‘’I think every owner is excited about his team,'’ New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft said. ‘’If they’re not excited this time of year, then they’re in deep trouble. This is a team with a great corps of veterans.'’

‘’I learned that the years I was the most excited about the upcoming season I had the biggest disappointment. I’ve learned that things can change and you want to chill. You never know what’s going to happen.'’

‘’Things happen in this league that are out of your control. But barring some injury, we should be OK. Our objective is to make the playoffs. I think we’ve improved our defense, and if our offense can stay anywhere near where it was, we should be a very competitive team.'’

Apparently, after that disappointing ‘’almost perfect'’ season they just had, Kraft is not expecting that much from this Patriots team. But since they still have guys like Tom Brady and Randy Moss, you have every right to.
