Your 2007-08 NBA Gambling Guide for Friday
As the 2007-08 NBA basketball season SLOWLY gets into playoff mode, we probably still have more than enough basketball left to keep your gambling habits on fire.
Let’s start with the Los Angeles Clippers visiting the Atlanta Hawks this Friday at the Philips Arena. The Hawks are still keeping their hopes up as far as that eight and final playoff spot in the East is concerned. They are a decent 19-13 at home and with Mike Bibby patrolling the offense, a playoff spot for the Hawks could be possible.
Hosting a Los Angeles Clippers team, a team that is 9-20 on the road, will be nice for Atlanta’s playoff chances. The Clippers have lost eight of their last ten games and should pose no threat whatsoever for Atlanta’s cause.
Next, the Boston Celtics play hosts to the surging Utah Jazz at the TD Banknorth Garden. The Utah Jazz have caught fire lately, winning seven of their last ten. However, the Jazz dropped to 15-20 on the road this season and facing probably the hottest team in the league right now could pose a problem.
Heck, the Boston Celtics won ten games in a row, solidifying the top spot in the Eastern Conference. You just know the trio of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen will be leading the Celtics to shoot for their 11th straight against the Utah Jazz.
In Florida, the Orlando Magic visit the Miami Heat, playing without Dwyane Wade, at the American Airlines Arena. Orlando’s record stands at 42-24 and 22-12 on the road. They have won two straight games as they try for a hat trick to enable them to start padding their lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers for that No.3 playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Meanwhile, the Heat’s losing season continues as they will play without superstar Dwyane Wade, who would undergo OssaTron therapy, basically using shock wave, to treat his ailing left knee. May God help the struggling Miami Heat. Then again, maybe just let them get fucked again.
The Los Angeles Lakers begin probably their most trying regular-season stretch with a Friday night game against the New Orleans Hornets before their highly-anticipated face-off with the Rockets this Sunday. The Los Angeles Lakers had a grand time in New Orleans back on Jan.9, destroying the Hornets, 109-80, in a performance that proved just how good the Los Angeles Lakers can be.
The New Orleans Hornets never led in the game and was never really in it against the Lakers. They will try for a better ending this Friday.
