Chicago Bears got caught with their pants down again
That’s exactly what the Chicago Bears are dealing with after 11 weeks into the 2009 NFL football season.
After all the hype generated by the Chicago Bears with their acquisition of big shot quarterback Jay Cutler from Denver, especially after he led the Bears to that huge win over the defending champions Pittsburgh Steelers back in Week 2, Cutler is slowly losing the Windy City the way he lost Denver.
In case you’ve not been following Bears’ games lately, Jay Cutler is starting to have a knack for throwing interceptions in games. And mind you, Cutler makes a lot of ‘em, probably more than any quarterback in this league.
Last Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles
wasn’t any different. After giving up FIVE FREAKING INTERCEPTIONS to the San Francisco 49ers the week before, Jay Cutler gave up another one to the Eagles secondary on Sunday Night Football as he finished with a rather miserable 63.2 QB rating en route to yet another frustrating loss.
But perhaps what’s even more frustrating for Bears fans last Sunday night was the way Cutler has been missing his receivers downfield.
The Philadelphia Eagles provided Jay Cutler with all kinds of opportunities to burn them with huge plays downfield, the problem is, Cutler just can’t seem to get the ball to his wide receivers all night long as he was either a couple of yards short or a couple of inches long.
Cutler was suppose to be the missing piece the Bears needed to get back to the Super Bowl but after his lackluster performance in the last three games, the Bears probably need to look elsewhere again.
Hell, at this rate, the Bears could’ve done a lot better with Rex Grossman at this point.

Jay Cutler proved Sunday night that he is not the elite level QB most thought he was in Denver. Either Cutler and his wide outs still have not worked hard enough to get on the same page or he is just flat out inaccurate. Cutler’s throws Sunday can not be blamed on the routes his receiver’s ran but simply over throwing the ball. Granite not all 18 of Cutler’s INT’s can be blamed on him, elite QB’s in the NFL do will not be successful with more INT’s than TD’s.
