Vince Young returns to Texas on Monday Night Football

The Houston Texans hate Vince Young. And since there’s a possibility that their fans will cheer for this one time Longhorn on Monday night, I’m not surprised.

Week 11 of the 2009 NFL football season resumes on a Monday night at Reliant Stadium where Vince Young will once again make that trip back to Texas and relive the day when he led the Texas Longhorns to a national title.

Yep, apparently, Vince Young hasn’t accomplished anything else since and after four years in the NFL, he’s still known as that college kid who led the Texas Longhorns to the BCS. Of course, that won’t stop some people from Texas from cheering for the dude since their Longhorns pretty much haven’t accomplished anything either since Young left for the NFL.

vince_youngOn Monday Night Football, the Tennessee Titans will visit the Houston Texans in what should be a game both teams need to win for playoff contention. Of course, both of these teams know that it’s going to be all about Vince Young and as far as the Texans are concerned, they hate it.

To say that the Houston Texans NEED to win this game could be an understatement. You see, the only way they can make their fans to stop talking about Vince Young is beat the guy in front of those same fans who can’t seem to get enough of Vince Young.

And since the Texans have left themselves little margin for error, they AB-SO-LUTE-LY, PO-SI-TIVE-LY need to beat the Tennessee Titans this Monday night, and then Seattle and then St. Louis just to stay in the hunt for a postseason slot.

I can’t stress that enough.

If the Houston Texans lose, that could bring quarterback Matt Schaub back into trade rumors, fans will once again wonder if star receiver Andre Johnson is really asking for a trade and Texans fans will once again start talking about Vince Young who obviously no longer plays for the state of Texas.

There will sure be some electricity at Reliant Stadium once football fans from Texas once again see Vince Young and his familiar No.10 jersey. The Texans front office probably feel offended when there are local stories about Vince Young and the only way for them to fix that is to beat the Titans on Monday night.

Surely, that’s not too much to ask right?
