Juan Manuel Marquez to prove Manny Pacquiao ain’t shit

By:

In case you didn’t know, the world’s biggest moron Manny Pacquiao will take on Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12.

Dubbed as Pacquiao – Marquez III, this will be the third fight between the two after Pacquiao virtually robbed Marquez of the win in their second fight, a fight Marquez quite clearly won in the scorecards.

Now, Juan Manuel Marquez is determined to vindicate his claims that he has already ‘beaten’ this stupid little moron from the third world twice in the concluding chapter of his trilogy of bouts with the Filipino faggot.

The two fighters will step into the ring at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on November 12 where the WBO welterweight title Manny Pacquiao is holding will be on the line, along with final bragging rights from their encounters.

The boxers have met twice before, fighting to a draw in May 2004 before Marquez lost his WBC super-featherweight title to the Filipino in a controversial split decision in March 2008. On both occasions, though, Marquez felt he had triumphed, and rightfully so. Hell, I did too.

”Now it’s time to shed doubt over who the best fighter is,” Marquez said…

Floyd Mayweather wants to kick Manny Pacquiao’s ass

By:

seth-edward-oneal.jpgWell, he really didn’t say that but that’s what he and his camp were trying to imply.

You see, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his camp wants the biggest fight out there right now to be the champion’s very first title defense since winning the WBC welterweight title after beating the shit out of Victor Ortiz.

His camp says the champion is ready to return to the ring on May 5 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and they want to have the fight everybody wanted to happen since news broke out that Manny Pacquiao is on steroids.

”Floyd is just looking to make the biggest fight out there, and everybody knows what that fight is,” said Ellerbe, referring to Manny Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38 KOs), the current WBO welterweight titleholder.

”Floyd’s always been willing to make the biggest fights that are out there, and that’s what we’ve been doing. Floyd has fought the biggest and the best that are available and the best competition that’s been out there.”

Negotiations for a megabout between Pacquiao, who is promoted by Top Rank Inc., and Mayweather (42-0, 26 KOs), who is handled by Golden Boy Promotions, have failed twice over Pacquiao’s hesitation to be tested for drugs.

Prior to his past two victories over Shane Mosley and Ortiz in May…

Timothy Ray Bradley Jr. could be hunting Pacquiao

By:

That’s one bad motherfucker right there.

With only a few more weeks left before we see the Manny Pacquiao – Juan Manuel Marquez fight, one bad motherfucker just officially came out of the shadows to make a name for himself.

In case you have no idea what I’m talking about, his name is Timothy Ray Bradley Jr. and he just signed a hefty contract with Top Rank boxing.

This pretty much, means that he just stepped on the spotlight and if Bob Arum is willing to pit this guy against his third world boy toy that is Manny Pacquiao then my friends, we are back on track for our pursuit to save boxing from that third world faggot.

However, it seems that the big guns from Top Rank aren’t that giddy about that fight just yet. According to Top Rank chairman Bob Arum and Bradley’s manager Cameron Dunkin, fighting the biggest joke in boxing wasn’t part of the terms of the deal.

”This really has nothing to do with Pacquiao,” Dunkin insisted. ”Hey, if he gets the Pacquiao fight, great, but this was about Timmy being promoted. Conference calls, press conferences, open workouts, appearances, all those kinds of things, that’s what this is about, about getting Timmy’s name out there and building him.”

”He needs that and that’s what this is about. They’ve committed to…”

Floyd Mayweather Jr. New Welterweight Champion!

By:

How do you like him now?

This weekend’s STAR POWER: Mayweather vs. Ortiz ended in what was probably the most exciting finish I’ve seen in years.

In case you missed it, Floyd Mayweather Jr. remained undefeated, winning the WBC Welterweight Championship after stunning Victor Ortiz with a right hook to the face.

Mayweather won the belt in emphatic fashion, stopping Victor Ortiz at 2:59 of the fourth round to take the piece of the welterweight title Ortiz brought into the ring. The end came just as the two fighters emerged from a break, after Ortiz deliberately delivered a head butt on Floyd.

Apologetic, Ortiz apologized to Mayweather TWICE. And being the young, inexperienced fighter that he is, Ortiz let his guard down even after the referee resumed the fight. Mayweather shot out a left hand and followed it with a right that put Ortiz down in his corner.

Ortiz struggled to get up as referee Joe Cortez called an end to the fight.

”We touched gloves and we were back to fighting and then I threw the left and right hand after the break,” Mayweather said. ”In the ring you have to protect yourself at all times.”

The round was already controversial, as Ortiz appeared to head butt Mayweather…

Mayweather taught Ortiz a valuable lesson

By:

seth-edward-oneal.jpgProtect yourself at all times. Young Victor Ortiz learned the lesson the hard way against the best fighter of this generation.

In case you missed it, STAR POWER: Mayweather vs. Ortiz ended with Floyd Mayweather Jr. capturing yet another title, stunning Victor Ortiz to win the WBC Welterweight Championship.

While apologizing for a headbutt, Victor Ortiz dropped his hands and Floyd Mayweather Jr. decided it was time to fight again landing a delayed combination that the youngster couldn’t recover from. Mayweather records a knockout victory, but drew lots of boos from the 14,687 in attendance who thought it was a dirty move.

It got worse from there as Floyd Mayweather Jr. exploded on HBO’s Larry Merchant telling the broadcaster that the network needs to fire him because he doesn’t know [expletive] about boxing after Merchant tried to make the new champion look bad during the post-fight interview. The 80-year-old Merchant exploded saying he wished he was 50 years younger so he could “kick his ass.”

Mayweather (42-0, 26 KOs) delivers another victory and wins the WBC title from Ortiz, but it may have been the most bizarre night of the great fighter’s career. The end of the fight was pure insanity. The bout was heating up in the fourth when Ortiz landed some solid shots and drove Mayweather into ropes. The 24-year-old got too aggressive, leaping into the air to head butt Mayweather.

Referee Joe Cortez wisely paused the fight. That’s when Ortiz walked…

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is ready for Victor Ortiz

By:

But even the best pound for pound fighter in the world must admit that 15 months away from the ring is a long looong time.

Still, he’s ready for his fight this weekend dubbed STAR POWER: Mayweather vs. Ortiz when he takes on Victor Ortiz for his WBC Welterweight Title. And Mayweather, more than anyone, is familiar with the drill.

Meeting with the media Tuesday at his boxing gym just west of the Las Vegas Strip, Floyd Mayweather Jr. answered question after question in preparation for his Sept. 17 WBC welterweight title fight against Victor Ortiz at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Mayweather was asked about his year-plus layoff from competition, his many legal problems, his legacy in the sport, a potential mega-fight with Manny Pacquiao and whatever else the hordes of reporters threw at him.

With the air conditioning off inside his gym, which is common practice during training, the reporters seemed to work up more of a sweat than the confident Mayweather. His ability to be comfortable with the media, and other prefight distractions, comes from years of experience in the spotlight.

That’s where he feels the 24-year-old Victor Ortiz could be overwhelmed…

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is playing Bob Arum

By:

And Money Mayweather is making lots of, well, money, out of it.

It’s no secret that Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Top Rank promoter Bob Arum hate each other.

Probably because Mayweather continues to see his cash cow, Manny Pacquiao, as the third world joke that he really is no matter how great Arum says Pacquiao is.

Mayweather, who will end a self-imposed 16-month ring exile when he meets Victor Ortiz in a fight broadcast on HBO Pay-Per-View, has repeatedly puzzled the boxing world with outbursts and mishaps in his personal life since his one-sided victory over Shane Mosley on May 1, 2010 like a true showman.

And Bob Arum don’t like it one bit.

But as far as Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy, is concerned, Mayweather is playing Bob Arum for the fool.

”I will tell you what Floyd Mayweather is: the best showman in sports and a marketing genius,” Schaefer said. ”He knows how to make people hate him enough to want him to lose, and he knows how to make people admire him enough to want him to win.”

”When he is not in public, he is a great guy and he’s very…”

UFC’s Dana White vs. Boxing’s Bob Arum

By:

This one ain’t going to be pretty.

While we count the days before the Manny Pacquiao – Juan Manuel Marquez fight gets going, (man, I really hope JMM finally gets rid of this guy) it turns out that we have another fight on our hands.

On one corner, we have UFC big boss Dana White, on the other corner, we have Top Rank promoter and the sugar daddy of the biggest joke in professional boxing, Bob Arum.

You read it, Dana White and Bob Arum is getting it on. And I don’t mean that in a gay kind of way only Manny Pacquiao will get into. No. This is between White and Arum and their ongoing battle for TV ratings.

You see, the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12 will be on the very same day that Dana White plans to make his UFC’s highly anticipated network television debut on Fox.

Dana White, being the savvy businessman that he is, decided to cut what was usually a two-hour show to an hour for the Fox debut, in order for fight fans to watch his show without missing the Pacquiao – Marquez tiff since his will be over 30 minutes before Pacquiao and Marquez walk to the ring.

That would give fans an opportunity to watch both shows. Well…

Undefeated Mike Jones wants Manny Pacquiao

By:

25-0, 19 coming by way of knockout.

That is what’s coming at Manny Pacquiao at full speed as the undefeated welterweight Mike Jones wants some third world blood after knocking out Raul Munoz at the Asylum Arena in South Philadelphia over the weekend.

Fighting in front of his hometown fans for the first time in 2 years, Mike Jones made quick work of Munoz, finishing him off with 50 seconds remaining in the second round to stay undefeated and become the top-ranked contender for Pacquiao’s welterweight title.

”I took my time [in the first round],” Jones said.

”I was relaxed and looked for an opening. When Munoz was more aggressive [in the second round], he left himself more open. I followed our game plan of going to his body to get him to drop his hands down. Then I started to go up on top. I got him with a good right [to end the fight at 2:29 of the second round].”

Jones, who had not fought since February, is ranked No. 1 by the WBO, No. 2 by the WBA, No. 3 by the IBF and No. 5 by the WBC. At 25-0, Jones now wants to save boxing as he looks to erase the biggest joke the sport was so unfortunate to have.

Manny Pacquiao.

”I want a big fight,” he said. ”There are a lot of great fighters out there and I’ll fight any one of them. I want to fight…”
