Calvin Ayre, the old and new face of old and NewBodog

By: Seth Edward O'Neal

seth-edward-oneal.jpgHmm… Probably just one of Calvin’s antics in making us think there’s something new with NewBodog.

Except from the somewhat very straightforward new name of the ‘’sportsbook formerly known as Bodog,'’ NewBodog is still the same online casino and sportsbook operated by that one guy who we are really REALLY tired of but can’t seem to get rid off, Calvin Ayre.

In case you didn’t know, Bodog a.k.a. NewBodog, is an online casino and sportsbook founded by Calvin Ayre that aims to bamboozle you of yer own mon… er… I mean, give you the best online betting experience there is today.

Calvin AyreYep, no kidding. So why the change from the acceptable ‘’Bodog'’ moniker to the somewhat ridiculous ‘’NewBodog'’ tag? Apparently, Calvin Ayre got into some sort of legal dispute over the ownership of the Bodog.com domain name.

According to Mr. Ayre, they are currently fighting this dispute and they are confident that they will be stuck with the moniker NewBodog, for a fucking long time. He he… No seriously, these morons are confident that they can win this…

By: Neo

Bryan Benjafield’s bosses at a construction company were happy to see him hunched over his keyboard, beavering away at his job as an account administrator.

What they did not know was that Benjafield  was busy not because he was working but because he was gambling away more than £1 million of their money in online casinos and betting shops.

JJ’s Gambling Tips: Beat the dreaded Casino Edge

By: J.J. Jack

WAKE UP. Every Casino has a built-in EDGE.

Yup, no matter how good you are in gambling, casinos have a built-in edge on every gaming option. THAT means, casinos ONLY offer games which insure that they will WIN more money FROM players than they will lose TO players.

Yup, and that, my friend, is a fact. And that built-in profit that allows casinos to become a profitable business is what they call the dreaded CASNO EDGE.

Whaddaya’ think, that casinos are there to give ya’ll money? Of course not. If casinos do that, then why did they put up this kind of business anyway?

So what do you do to beat this casino edge?

Easy.

Just play the games that have the LOWEST casino edges. Yup, that means, these are the games that give the player, or the gambler if you will, the BEST chances of winning.

You can’t force the casino to play by the rules, giving itself a mere 50-50 chance of beating you or that other guy throwing the dice like a jackass as if he’s Peyton Manning or…

Don’t Play Fair in Online Poker

By: J.J. Jack

Don’t play fair.

That’s what you have to do to rack up those wins online. People think that for one to be successful in poker, or online poker for that matter, a combination of skill and luck is THE winning recipe for big profits in cyberspace.

I’m telling ya’ll now that THIS is not the case.

Let me tell you an example, you and your buddy are playing online poker and you, being the more experienced poker ‘’superstar'’ wondershow in the hell did your buddy, a stupid moron on the poker table, got more chips from the table than you?

The answer my friend to that very simple inquiry is this, your friend is simply colluding with another player at the ‘’virtual table.'’ By playing together as a conniving tag-team, they can grab all them ‘’virtual chips,'’ no matter how stupid they are at poker.

Simple.

There are many ways you can exploit the online environment. Collusion is just one thing.

One also needs to understand what kind of poker player you are playng against, whether…

10 Million Dollar Ma from Atlantic

By: MaxCohen

Ten freakin’ million woo-hoo dollars from a goddamn progressive fuckin’ slot machine.

Who the hell wins something like that? No one I know but an 84-year-old retired waitress named Josephine Crawford.

Start praying she’s your grandma: Josephine just nabbed the BIGGEST slot machine jackpot in Atlantic City history. In fact, the entire nation’s biggest nickel slot machine jackpot ever, dudes. Phew.

I always rather thought ‘nickel slot machine’ sounds so teeny-tiny. Like it’s never going to win me anything big. And truly, Josephine had lost $35 within ten minutes at a nickel slot in Harrah’s Atlantic City that she started feeling a little bummed.

Enter Alicia Weeks, the granddaughter, who might as well have been named Lady Luck. Dear Alicia, aged 27, suggested to granny to try the Megabucks progressive jackpot, which had not produced a winner for three years.

To qualify for the progressive jackpot, Josephine had to bet 60 nickels at least, or $3. After an initial $20 investment, and it looked like luck was not coming, Alicia asked granny if maybe she wanted to quit for the night.

Josephine kept going. This was 7ish in the evening of a Tuesday, April 18th. Down to her…

Snoop Dogg ain’t Got Shit on This Dawg…

What are the odds?

Calvin Ayre, founder of Bodog, one of the big players in the world of gambling, can think of the most obscure of circumstances and place odds on it.

Heck, this guy would even lay odds on your shit, will it go down when you flush it or will it clog up the toilet?

The lad from Lloydminster, Sask., is Canada’s newest billionaire and cover boy at Forbes, the U.S.-based magazine that keeps the world’s scorecard on the rich.

The 44-year-old Ayre moved into one of the globe’s most exclusive clubs as founder of Bodog, the online gambling behemoth he operates out of Costa Rica because what he’s doing has never been licensed by a government in Canada.

A University of Waterloo grad who financed his education by selling Okanagan Valley apples, cherries and peaches on the Prairies, Ayre now makes a cool billion based on wagers on sports events such as the upcoming NCAA March Madness basketball tournament, NFL games and his online casino. - The Star

More Balls than a Snooker Parlor in Vegas

By: J.J. Jack

Now this guy has balls the size of grapefruits.

It was 2004 when a man named Ashley Revell literally put everything on the line in a roulette wheel.

Ashley did it, and I’m not even talking about the way he controlled his bowel movements when he wagered his entire life savings on a single spin.

Ashley Revell, a British man, stood in a Las Vegas casino wearing a rented tuxedo surrounded by literally a pack of people, including his family and friends, as he wagered his…

The Mathematics in Basketball Betting?

By: J.J. Jack

Now, upon reading the title, you ask, ‘’How in the heck can you predict basketball games with math?!?'’

It’s possible.

Or so says business executive Charles Allen.

Charles Allen works in a high-rise office with leather chairs, valuable paintings and a breathtaking but expensive view of the city. Allen, a forty-something family guy, is a respected executive in his company, well, wearing a sharp suit will certainly earn you that.

However, in this same office, Allen turns it into something else whenever it’s time for some NBA action. With a full slate of NBA games, the entrepreneur turns into a gambling tycoon.

With $15,000 riding on a Cleveland - Minnesota game, he blurts out, ‘’LeBron James nails a three-pointer! LeBron, you cockroach!'’ Allen needs the game to fall under the total point line of 183 but with just 9.2 seconds left, Ricky Davis ruined everything with a shot from downtown.

And he wasn’t even…

What Kind of Casino Loser Are You?

By: MaxCohen

Gamblers Who Rock at Losing

First off: we are all 50% losers. We know this from listening to emo and playing games of chance at online casinos. It’s just a question of being good at it, at losing. And no, this isn’t like those personality tests at TheSpark.com.

Nor is it about natural born losers. As old news as the concept of direct proportion, the biggest casino losses in history have been made by the…
