Carter King can now add winning the 2009 PokerStars Sunday Million to his impressive poker resume

Carter ”ckingusc” has beefed up his already glowing poker resume. After winning the PokerStars’ 2008 World Championship of Online Poker Main Event, King won the Sunday Million after arriving at the final table second in chips.
King had to outlast 7,905 other participants to take down the $193,697 prize the 2009 PokerStars Sunday Million had for its participants. The sheer number of players pumped the prize pool to $1,599,800 and 1,170 players ended up in the money.
Terris ”tpreston” Preston entered the final table as the short-stack and he was the first to be eliminated for $11,068.50. Rabbiej, who was also nursing a short stack, was eliminated several hands later in eight place for $18,183.80. BigSexyKN was the next one to go courtesy of a bad beat dealt by Carter King. BigSexyKN settled for seventh place and $27,671.

Just how great are the prizes? The winner of 
exit after he was eliminated by killinda_sts. He took home a respectable $7,228.40 for his sixth place finish. After suffering numerous bad beats, it was pool_shark_10’s turn to go as he finished in fifth place for $11,267.80.
The chip lead was lost and regained by muckducks several times in heads up play. Luckily for muckducks, it just wasn’t sticky seat’s day as the American ended up losing two crucial hands during heads-up play.

Doylesroom, since it was part of the network, had no choice but to stop accepting
with 349,000 in chips and he was unable to recover so he exited in 8th place. Just moments after, Richard Ashby was sent to the rail in seventh place ($150,000) after being eliminated by Rajkumar Ramakrishnan. Zach Gruneberg was eliminated in sixth place ($210,000) but don’t feel bad for him. He won a seat to the main event courtesy of Cake poker. Furthermore, he won Event #4 for a cool $35,000.
When it came time for the final table, Rainer Quel was in chip lead with 132,000. Mel Judah was in the middle of the pack with 109,500 in chips. Mick Stanton was in the cellar with a mere 12,500 in chips.
