Using Suited Connectors in No Limit Hold’em Poker

March 29 2007
By: Seth Edward O'Neal

seth-edward-oneal.jpgYup, here I am again busting my ass for you just so you’ll get all those Benjamins lying around the poker table.

For starters, I would like to tell you that No Limit Texas Hold’em Poker is different from Limit Hold’em, for obvious reasons. Well, if you fail to see the difference, the basic idea of No Limit Texas Hold’em is the fact that players can bet as much as they want, hence the term ‘’no limit'’ whereas Limit Hold’em has this irritating budget ceiling.

In Limit Hold’em, this poker game is more about the starting hands. DO NOT play suited connectors in Limit Hold’em unless of course both cards were higher than a nine.

poker_gambit.jpgAs for No Limit Texas Hold’em Poker, it’s all about betting and the implied odds that you might have if you happen to end up with a huge hand. For instance, if you can make a $15 call with suited connectors preflop against an opponent with $400, it would be worth it to make the call in certain situations.

Yeah, winning a huge pot with suited connector hands is indeed rewarding BUT what’s even more rewarding is the fact that other players can see that you are capable of playing any two cards.

Initial reactions like, ‘’WTF?!? How could he play a goddamn hand like that when it was raised?'’ or ‘’If this asshole is capable of playing a hand like that, what could he turn over next time?'’ is very normal.

Please Observe Proper Poker Table Manners

March 22 2007
By: Seth Edward O'Neal

seth-edward-oneal.jpgOf course, everybody can play poker, BUT not everybody can play it right.

Yes, the problem with some poker tables these days is that there is an increasing number of irritating players in it who don’t know squat about the game but keeps on playing it anyway.

What makes it worse is every single time they talk, you’ll find out you’re better off listening to emo all day than hear that screeching belch that annoys you more than a new TV Reality show.

With that said, I will try to teach you some pointers that will help you maintain the sanity poker_tits.jpgin every poker table. Oh yeah, if there’s still that one irritating player who thinks she’s God’s gift to beauty in spite of looking like the missing link to man and ape, please just shoot her in the head with a shotgun.

First off, splashing the pot is a big NO-NO. Most players just chuck their chips at the general direction of the pot. Please don’t do this. Not only does it slow down the game because the dealer STILL has retrieve the chips and count them, but sometimes some of the chips go into the pot and if the dealer doesn’t notice them, not only will it NOT COUNT as your bet but it will be a part of the pot.

Do not stack your chips improperly. Yes, you read it, there’s a proper way to stack your chips. The common mistake with stacking chips is that some players tend to have lower denomination of chips stacked high with the larger denomination of chips hiding behind…

Puzzled on How to Win at Blackjack? Here’s some Tips

March 13 2007
By: Seth Edward O'Neal

seth-edward-oneal.jpgEDITOR’S NOTE: Please welcome Mr. Seth Edward O’Neal, the latest jackass to join our crew. His first assignment? Help ya’ll win at blackjack. Go easy on him mmmkay?

Blackjack is one of the most popular table games in every casino. And yes, with blackjack being as popular as it is today, there are already a number of books telling you what you should do to rule a blackjack table.

But as good as those guys are, blackjack is STILL a game of luck. That means, it won’t matter if you know every single tip in the book. It’s casino gambling, a game of chance, and I surely won’t be one of those people telling you that if you follow my stuff, you’ll be a blackjack champion in every Las Vegas Casino for sure.

blackjack.jpgI can’t do that. But I’ll certainly HELP you become one.

First thing you should do is set yourself a limited bankroll amount that you are prepared to part with in the session that you are playing. Even if you are doing well, discipline yourself not to keep on going, make sure you stop while you are ahead. Everybody knows that.

DO NOT reinvest your winnings back into the game. Not only will it confuse you how much you’ve already won but it will also leave you with nothing once you step out of that casino.

Jimmie Johnson wins NASCAR jackpot in Las Vegas

March 12 2007
By: J.J. Jack

Yep, it’s Jimmie Johnson again, winning his THIRD straight Nextel Cup race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Hmm… I wonder if the guy is just as good with Las Vegas casinos? Winning three straight in Las Vegas sure is something especially if you can win that easy in, say… baccarat or poker tables in Sin City.

The defending NASCAR Nextel Cup series champion, Jimmie Johnson, saw the checkered flag for the third straight time at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, beating teammate Jeff Gordon in the process.

jimmie_johnson.jpgThat’s despite all the troubles Jimmie Johnson and his pit crew endured throughout the race. Oh yeah, Johnson’s problems on the track was all thanks to the changes its stupid owner, Bruton Smith, made. That’s including an increase in the banking from 12 degrees to 20 and a ridiculously curved pit lane that makes a nude Britney Spears, all of a sudden, look normal.

Well, for what it’s worth, Johnson’s Hendrick teammate, Jeff Gordon, should’ve won this one. Hell, he virtually dominated the race, leading it after 111 laps. If he only stayed on the track and not take the stupid pit stop he…

16-yr old minor wins slot jackpot; mother allowed to keep cash

February 27 2007
By: Neo

When a Hong Kong teenager walked into a casino in the Chinese territory of Macau, chaperoned by her mother and grandmother, she can have had little idea of the riches that awaited her - nor of the legal storm that her winnings would generate.

Yes, this 16-year-old unknown girl won a $94,900 jackpot at a Macau casino, and her mother was allowed to keep the cash.

Macau’s gaming watchdog forced The Las Vegas Sands to Casino told to fork over jackpot won by minor pay the $94,900-winning teenager because of a loophole. Macau’s gaming laws ban anyone under 18 from entering a casino, but the laws do not specify a minimum age for gambling once inside.

The young girl, whose name has not been released, was given $12 by her grandmother as a Lunar New Year present to play on some slot machines. The teenager went to the Sands Casino with her mother and grandmother and put the entire amount in a machine. When she hit the jackpot, Sands staff refused to pay her out once they learned she was underage.

However, the territory’s gaming authority has ruled that the Las Vegas Sands must pay the teenager from Hong Kong her winnings. “We have decided that the money must be paid, not to the child, but to her mother,” Gambling Authority Director Manuel Joaquim das Neves told the South China Morning Post.

Although she will be paid, the girl’s mother has been banned from all Macau’s casinos as punishment for bringing a minor into a casino.

That’s okay, Mom can always come to Bodog’s Online Casino, as long as she leaves the kids at home!

The Gladiators of Las Vegas, when not gambling with slot machines, prepare for AFL Football

February 27 2007
By: Syndicate

Yep, Las Vegas actually has something other than gambling.

Las Vegas, the very place dubbed ‘’sin city,'’ has the Gladiators to root for as the brand new AFL Football kicks off.

But wait, if Las Vegas locals begin to bet on their Gladiators in the Arena Football League games this year, (which they WILL sooner or later…) it wouldn’t be any different to all them slots and baccarat tables in Vegas now is it? Oh well, Vegas will always be Vegas I guess.

And yeah, the Las Vegas Gladiators are preparing for the coming AFL Football war on their mid-sized battlefield indoors. And by the looks of things, a king could very well be leading the Las Vegas kingdom towards gridiron glory.

lasvegas_gladiators.jpgShaun King, the 6′1′’, 215-pound quarterback from Tulane, will be playing his very first AFL Football season after leaving the NFL. He’s adapting quickly to the style of play in the AFL but was forced to watch for the first couple days of practice due to an ankle sprain on the first day of camp. King has played in the NFL for the Indianapolis Colts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Arizona Cardinals.

‘’Shaun has started to understand the speed and reads of the game. His early ankle sprain has slowed down his progression,'’ said Las Vegas Gladiators head coach Danton Barto. ‘’But I am excited to see his progression.'’

However, as exciting as King’s…

From Las Vegas to New Orleans, the 2008 NBA All Star Game is coming like one bad ass Hurricane

February 19 2007
By: Syndicate

Yep, it seems New Orleans is where you wanna’ be come 2008.

Fresh from the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip, the NBA will bring its ‘’Mid-Season Classic'’ to the very city the Saints NFL Football team virtually put back on the map a few months ago, New Orleans.

You read it right, the 2008 NBA All Star game is headed for New Orleans next season. For all ya’ll who didn’t know, the city of New Orleans has been going most of the past two years without pro basketball. Well, next season, the Hornets will return and along with Chris Paul and his crew comes the NBA’s annual spectacle of superstars.

2008_allstargame.jpgFor those questioning whether the city will be prepared for the NBA’s signature event, this week might be instructive.

‘’If we’re ready for Mardi Gras, then we’re ready for the NBA All-Star Game,'’ said Mary Beth Romig, communications director of the New Orleans Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The game will come in the midst of a hectic two-month run for the city, with Mardi Gras squeezed among the Sugar Bowl, college football’s national championship game and the NBA All-Star game. And given the…

From Las Vegas gambling to BunnyRanch prostitution

February 18 2007
By: J.J. Jack

Tired of the same old ‘’gamble your life savings away'’ thing in Las Vegas?

Well, there’s this ‘’alternative'’ you’ll definitely dig. Apparently, somewhere deep in the outskirts of all these gambling activities, there lies a brothel that takes advantage of Nevada’s legalized prostitution crap.

Yep, apparently, prostitution is legal at the Moonlite BunnyRanch brothel and owner, or should I say, ‘’King Pimp,'’ Dennis Hof is having, ‘’a lot of fun'’ in Nevada for sure.

Heck, if he was able to pull this off, then Hugh Hefner ain’t got shit on this dawg. This guy even has his own HBO series for crying out loud, entitled ‘’Cathouse,'’ featuring Dennis Hof’s beloved brothel where countless hot whores call home.

Oh yeah, Dennis Hof found his ‘’wife'’ there too.

Dennis and his ‘’bunnies'’ will be flying into NYC to do some major media concerning the next season of Cathouse, including many radio stations on The Sirius Network, like Eminem’s Show, Shade 45, Alex Bennette, Rude Jude, Derek & Romaine and The Howard Stern Show.

It is Dennis Hof’s goal to see prostitution become a major economic force in society’s mainstream, if you can imagine that. He’d like to help sanitize the sleazy ‘’street corner hooker'’ image. He foresees a coming cultural atmosphere in which those seeking female companionship can easily find a safe, legal place to get laid.

‘’The BunnyRanch is an example of how sex-for-sale is going to be in America within the next 30 years,'’ Dennis Hof said. He tells his girls…

The Eastern Conference meets the Western Conference at the NBA All Star Game in Las Vegas

February 18 2007
By: Syndicate

And no, unlike what Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. started years back, there won’t be any guns involved whatsoever.

The NBA’s ‘’mid-season classic'’ returns for it’s 2007 offering as the best players from the Eastern Conference meet the towering giants of the Western Conference. Yep, it’s the East going up against the West and judging by this year’s starting line-ups, the East will get their asses creamed good.

This year, unlike last season’s Detroit Pistons theme, the East will only have two Pistons on their roster. Yep, they actually snubbed Tayshaun Prince again. And to make matters worse, Rasheed Wallace wasn’t even asked to return.

Richard Hamilton and Chauncey Billups were selected as East reserves but c’mon, snubbing Sheed and Tayshaun for a struggling Miami Heat tandem of Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O’Neal? Puh-leaze…

Yep, you read it, D-Wade and Shaq made it to the starting line-up yet again, despite all their struggles this season. Hell, Shaq did not even played MOST of the first half of the season for chrissake. Something’s definitely wrong there.

Joining the pathetic Miami Vice wannabes are the likes of LeBron James, Gilbert Arenas and the much improved Chris Bosh.

The West is where it’s at this year. They were able to form one solid starting five, and that’s saying with or without a Yao Ming at the starting center spot. For all ya’ll who don’t know it yet, Yao Ming won’t be playing in this year’s NBA All Star game in Las Vegas with him nursing an injury.

NO PROBLEM. The likes of Memo Okur and Dirk…

The NBA All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk Contest will be judged by REAL Slam Dunk Champs

February 17 2007
By: Syndicate

Who better to judge a slam dunk contest than these slam dunk champions right?

Yep, we all saw the likes of Charles Barkley bastardizing the most electrifying play in NBA Basketball, THE DUNK, blabbering about things they don’t understand. Hell, one of the greatest dunkers in the game today, Andre Iguodala, even said Kenny Smith screwed him last year, leading to his decision not to join the slam dunk contest this NBA All-Star weekend in Las Vegas.

Well, it will be different this season. THIS TIME, slam dunk champions will judge the slam dunk contest on All-Star Saturday night, not aging overweight retards like Sir Charles Barkley.

Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins will lead the Slam Dunk contest judges this year. ‘His Airness’ and ‘the Human Highlight Film’ will be joined by ‘Doctor J’ Julius Erving and two of today’s most electrifying aerial displays, Kobe Bryant and Vince Carter.

Wow. It doesn’t get any better than that right?

Michael Jordan gave us that classic ‘’leap from the free throw line dunk,'’ Kobe Bryant gave us that ‘’between the legs slam'’ and Vince Carter showed us that crazy ‘’360 counter-clockwise between the legs jam.'’ WHEW!

New York Knicks guard Nate Robinson will…
