By: Syndicate

After all, he does have 13 top fives and 21 top 10s. He also finished second to Jimmie Johnson at the Brickyard. Add to that, Edwards Greg Bifflewas also second to Kyle Busch at Darlington, Dover and the second Daytona race. Following at the second and third spot respectively are NASCAR drivers Jimmie Johnson and Greg Biffle who trails the current leader Carl Edwards by 10 points.

Can Lewis Hamilton win the 2008 F1 Singapore GP?

By: Seth Edward O'Neal

seth-edward-oneal.jpgWhy are we asking?

Since there’s the prospect of rain in the very first night race in Formula One, we’re asking if Lewis Hamilton can finally overcome the elements this Sunday after watching him slip all over the racetrack in Monza and Spa.

And with the 2008 F1 season nearing its conclusion, Hamilton knows he doesn’t have much of a choice but to overcome, unless he wants to see the championship slip from his hands again.

Heading to the 2008 F1 Singapore Grand Prix, Hamilton is holding on to the lead with 78 points. Closing in on him is Felipe Massa who has 77 and since Massa is known to thrive in wet weather conditions, Hamilton better come up with his A-game come raceday.

For what it’s worth, although Lewis Hamilton still hopes for dry conditions, he remains confident that they can do good even under the rain. But unlike Felipe Massa who has already shown what he can do under wet weather conditions, Hamilton has yet to show how good he is with water.

‘’The weather forecast says it will rain all week but every time I have woken up it is dry and quite warm,'’ Lewis Hamilton said.

‘’It has been raining in the morning but has stopped by…'’

It’s Lewis Hamilton vs Felipe Massa again in Singapore

By: Seth Edward O'Neal

seth-edward-oneal.jpgYou read it, with one point separating these two, the race for the championship is as close as it can get.

With the 2008 F1 season resuming in Singapore, two drivers looking for the world championship at the end of the season will be going at it at full force, both looking to have the advantage when the engines start rolling.

And in case you’re not following, the face-off between Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa will continue in the very first night race in Formula One, the 2008 F1 Singapore Grand Prix, and since it’s another close finish for the championship, we’re in for another classic.

Lewis Hamilton still leads the drivers’ championship with 78 points while Felipe Massa is not far behind with 77. But since Massa is closing in on Hamilton’s lead after each race, the momentum heading to Singapore is clearly with Ferrari’s Brazilian icon.

That’s why Lewis Hamilton knows beating Massa should be on top of his priority list.

‘’He (Massa) is the guy I have to beat. He has a good car and is a good driver,'’ Lewis Hamilton said. ‘’Singapore is a night time circuit, which none of us have experienced before, but we’ll be OK. I have to make every sacrifice in the last four races. I honestly feel confident in my ability to…'’

Was Lewis Hamilton Guilty of stealing a win in Belgium?

By: J.J. Jack

The Belgium Grand Prix was three weeks ago and still, everybody’s talking about it.

If you didn’t catch what was the most entertaining race of the 2008 F1 season, it was in Belgium where Lewis Hamilton, trailing race leader Kimi Raikkonen, straight-lined a chicane (among other things…) to overtake the Ferrari in the last three laps of the race to win. And mind you, this was after McLaren was charged for stealing sensitive Ferrari material a season ago.

A few days later, the stewards penalized Lewis Hamilton, demoting him from first place to third while awarding the win to Ferrari’s Felipe Massa, who finished behind Hamilton for second fastest.

Lewis HamiltonThat let Felipe Massa to further cut into Hamilton’s lead for the drivers’ championship. He trails Hamilton by just a single point. Hammy has 78 while Massa has 77.

All these factors make the 2008 F1 Singapore Grand Prix this Sunday must-see TV. Aside from the fact that this will be the first ever night race in Formula One, the probability that the race for the drivers’ championship stays as it is right now is next to zero.

It is understandable why McLaren - Mercedes is appealing to the ruling back in Belgium. If the FIA agrees with McLaren, they will get the six points snatched away from them back, further…

Qualifying is Key for Ferrari Driver Felipe Massa coming to the 2008 F1 Singapore Grand Prix

By: Syndicate

One point.

That’s what separates Felipe Massa from championship leader Lewis Hamilton coming to the Singapore Grand Prix where the 2008 F1 season resumes this Sunday.

Coming to the first night race in Formula One, Felipe Massa has 77 championship points to the 78 markers owned by Lewis Hamilton. And with the way this season has been, Massa knows every single detail of every single race is important.

Coming to the 2008 F1 Singapore Grand Prix, Massa believes qualifying good is as important as the race itself.

‘’Saturday will be very important,'’ Felipe Massa said of the qualifying session that will be held a day before raceday. ‘’I've never driven on the Felipe MassaSingapore track but it’ll be even more difficult to overtake compared to Valencia, because the straights are even shorter.'’

Singapore will have quite a few overtaking possibilities but Massa admits that, with the way the cars are designed today, overtaking will be difficult, especially on street circuits like the one they’ll be racing on in Singapore.

‘’These days it is not very easy to overtake in Formula One, the cars have great aerodynamic downforce,'’ Massa said. ‘’When you are behind a car, you lose downforce.'’

Rain is another potential hazard come Sunday. Singapore was lashed by wet weather on Wednesday, and Massa would prefer a dry track.

‘’I would prefer it to be dry in Singapore, but we can do well and have a…'’

Who are the Favorites to win the 2008 Chase for the Cup in NASCAR Racing? (Like we care right?)

By: Syndicate

It’s that time of the year when NASCAR tries to bring in some racing fans too dumb to understand Formula One.

And since NASCAR’s target market are mostly rednecks, these guys could just rename this thing they do going around in circles for 300-plus laps as the 2008 NASCAR Chase for the Cup, and have their fans get excited about it.

So who are the favorites? Well, there’s Jimmie Johnson for one. Johnson comes into the 2008 Chase for the Cup as the two-time defending Sprint Cup champion. Johnson has been relatively quiet in 2008. He has just four wins in the series this season. However, he comes into the Chase with lots of momentum as the winner of the last two races.

Jimmie Johnson and his no.48 Jimmie JohnsonHendrick Motorsports team know how to get the job done during the Chase. They have been in this situation before and prevailed.

Next we have Dale Earnhardt Jr. Junior is one of four drivers with one win during the regular season. He comes into the Chase 70 points behind Kyle Busch and since he’s now one of the more popular figures in the sport, getting his fan base going for the Chase is as easy as, well… you get the drift.

Clint Bowyer, who had to battle his way into the Chase, also has to be a favorite. He was 12th in points coming into Richmond and held off David Ragan for the final Chase spot.

Among other notables include Denny Hamlin, who had a frustrating…

The 2008 Chase for the Cup heats up NASCAR

By: Seth Edward O'Neal

seth-edward-oneal.jpgThe fourth quarter of the calendar year always men one thing in sports, CRUNCH TIME.

Yes, it’s that time of the year when baseball teams prepare for the playoffs, football teams clinch division titles, and in this case, NASCAR drivers try to take that first step towards the Cup. And in case you haven’t guessed, the 2008 NASCAR Chase for the Cup is here, when everything is back to square one.

The 2008 Chase for the Cup features twelve drivers battling for ten races to determine the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion. The fifth edition of NASCAR’s Chase has three clear favorites; Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, and Jimmie Johnson. But in a system where twelve drivers are separated by just 80 points, anyone could come out on top in a playoff race that seldom goes according to plan.

Kyle BuschKyle Busch had a great regular season and found his way to Victory Lane eight times while Carl Edwards ruled the intermediate tracks like those that dominate these final ten races.

Will one of these three favorites win it all or will one of the other nine contenders win it in 2008?

For Kyle Busch, he has dominated the competition so far this year. He comes into the 2008 Chase for the Cup with more wins (8) wins and more top five finishes (15) than any other driver in the series during the first twenty-six races of 2008. He has 5080 total points and is the overall…

The FIA screwed McLaren - Mercedes supertar Lewis Hamilton before the 2008 F1 Italian Grand Prix

By: Syndicate

And this may have cast a dark cloud over what has been one of the best finishes ever seen in a Formula One race.

After what has become one of the best races of the 2008 F1 season, Lewis Hamilton was stripped of the win in Belgium after coming up with a rather wild maneuver to overtake then race leader Kimi Raikkonen.

McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton was penalized for cutting the chicane and gaining an advantage over Kimi Raikkonen to force the Ferrari driver to lose 25 precious seconds and deny him of what looked like a sure win in Belgium.

And since Raikkonen’s teammate, Felipe Massa, finished second fastest after Raikkonen smacked the tire wall spinning after Hamilton’s antics, he was awarded with the win and the full 10 championship points.

Hamilton is credited with six.

That leaves us with yet another close finish for the championship. Lewis Hamilton still leads the championship standings with 76 but now by just the slimmest of margins. Felipe Massa, after being awarded with the win in Belgium, now has 74.

Kimi Raikkonen, on the other hand, may have lost his…

2008 F1 Season resumes in Monza for 2008 Italian GP

By: Seth Edward O'Neal

seth-edward-oneal.jpgIsn’t it ironic that F1 returns to the home of Ferrari after coming up with a way to help the Italian team score precious points just a week ago?

Yes, after what has been one of the best races of the 2008 F1 season, the FIA stripped Lewis Hamilton of the win in Belgium and instead, awarded second place finisher Felipe Massa with the full ten points to give the Ferrari driver 74, closing in on Hamilton’s 76.

Lewis Hamilton was penalized for shortcutting the chicane, giving him an advantage over then race leader Kimi Raikkonen, who crashed out in Belgium after Hamilton’s antics.

You can bet your ass that Lewis Felipe MassaHamilton will try to bounce back despite the fact that he’ll be racing in Ferrari’s playground this Sunday at the 2008 F1 Italian Grand Prix. With Felipe Massa ready to overtake him from his championship lead, we’re certainly in for another classic.

The 53-lap race is staged at the 5.793km (3.600-mile) Autodromo Nazionale di Monza and marks the end of F1’s European leg this season.

Monza is the oldest and fastest track on this year’s calendar. The circuit was built in 1922 and since the inception of the World Championship in 1950, has staged the Italian Grand Prix every year with the exception of 1980.

McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton, with 76 points, still leads the…

F1 superstar Lewis Hamilton will get a lot of Pussy now

By: Seth Edward O'Neal

seth-edward-oneal.jpgYes, you read it, because he’s going to move in with one.

The 2008 F1 season is almost over and McLaren - Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is still leading by just two points. He has 76 championship points to Felipe Massa’s 74, his closest competitor, with only five more races to go.

Yep, it seems it was only yesterday when a young rookie named Lewis Hamilton entered Formula One last season to compete as a solid backup to then McLaren no.1 driver, two-time champion Fernando Alonso.

Not many people expected Hamilton Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzingerto be this good that early. Hell, he was so good that he eventually became the premiere driver for McLaren - Mercedes, forcing the double world champion to return to Renault where he won his two world titles with.

And while Felipe Massa could give Hamilton a run for his money this season, many people are still expecting the young British sensation to win his first F1 world title in only his second year in Formula One.

Yep, the guy sure has it all. Which will probably make you hate the guy even more after learning what I have to share with you.

Aside from tearing up the tracks in Formula One, Lewis Hamilton will now have the privilege…
