Wanna earn more cash? Bet on UFC 109: Relentless too

By: Seth Edward O'Neal

seth-edward-oneal.jpgBecause, hey, you can’t have too much going on if you’re a betting aficionado right? Unless of course, you’re losing.

Two UFC Hall of Famers collide in UFC 109: Relentless at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada a day before the rest of the world go ga-ga over the Super Bowl. And just because Super Bowl XLIV is that big of a game, the UFC is bringing out the big guns for Saturday night.

UFC fans have waited ten years for this match between Hall of Famers Randy Couture and Mark Coleman as they finally square off in a battle for the ages. Couture is a former three-time former heavyweight champion and a two-time light-heavyweight champion in the UFC, while Coleman was the first ever UFC heavyweight champion.

This fight was scheduled to go ahead 12 years ago in 1998, however Randy Couture had to withdraw due to injury. Since then both fighters have gone on to have impressive careers, Couture has a record of 17-10 whereas Mark Coleman, who spent most of his years fighting in Japan, has a record of 16-9.

The last two-years, Couture has fought some formidable opponents, such as the current UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. He lost both of these fights before winning his most recent fight against Brandon Vera.

Coleman has somewhat restarted his career within…

UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar is… STILL OUT and UFC President Dana White is not telling us shit

By: Syndicate

You read it, Dana White has decided not to reveal any status of Lesnar’s condition.

For all ya’ll who didn’t know, Brock Lesnar had to pull out of UFC 106 last November after suffering a condition called mononucleosis.

He was suppose to defend his title against Shane Carwin then but because of his health issues, Lesnar will instead be replaced by rival Frank Mir across Carwin for what would be the interim heavyweight title at UFC 111, that’s just a few months after the promotion’s upcoming pay per view event, UFC 109: Relentless.

And in case you haven’t figured it out yet, Brock Lesnar has been stripped of his UFC heavyweight title, meaning that he will still be out of action for at least SIX MORE MONTHS. How unfortunate huh?

If Lesnar’s injury is THAT BAD, UFC President Dana White can at least tell his fans the real score. Is Lesnar coming back? Will he retire? Is he pregnant? Unfortunately, White won’t budge, leaving Lesnar’s fans in the dark.

”If the doctors say things are going well and things are going in the right direction, then maybe we’re a few months away from him coming back,” Dana White said. ”If it’s not going in the right direction, he’ll either be done and have to retire, or he’ll be out for a couple of years. After we get that announcement, then we’ll be able to plan what we’re going to do with the heavyweight division.”

”I didn’t even know that we were going to have Brock…”

Fernando Alonso signs three-year deal with Ferrari

By: Seth Edward O'Neal

seth-edward-oneal.jpgLooks like Ferrari is serious about dominating the field next season.

In case you haven’t been watching the 2009 F1 season, to say that it hasn’t been Ferrari’s year could be an understatement.

Next season, it looks like Ferrari intends to make a huge bid as far as the 2010 title is concerned because they just signed former double world champion Fernando Alonso to a three-year deal.

That’s right, Fernando Alonso, for the second time in his career, is leaving Renault to sign with another team, this time with Ferrari. Just a few years ago, he left Renault to sign with McLaren. The honeymoon between him and McLaren ended when a young Lewis Hamilton entered the picture. Luckily, Renault was there to take Alonso back, only for him to leave the team again to sign with Ferrari.

Alonso signing with Ferrari means he’ll be teammates with his rival Felipe Massa. That also means Kimi Raikkonen is leaving the team but I reckon with Alonso’s skill set, the Italians won’t miss the Finn one bit.

”We are very proud to welcome to our team another winning driver, who has demonstrated his amazing talent by winning two world championships in his career to date,” said Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali.

”Of course, we wish to thank Kimi for everything he has done during his time with Ferrari.”

”In his first year with us he managed to win the…”

Pacquiao is on Steroids and is Scared of Mayweather

By: J.J. Jack

Yep, the third world moron is on steroids and he’s refusing to undergo drug testing to save himself from the ass-kicking he’ll get from Mayweather.

In case you didn’t know, the anticipated Manny Pacquiao – Floyd Mayweather fight is in serious jeopardy, thanks to Pacquiao’s refusal to submit himself to the Olympic – style drug testing Mayweather proposed.

The reigning pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants to give the fans the fight of the decade and in order for them to have that, he wants himself and Manny Pacquiao to undergo drug testing to finally wipe the slate clean of any controversies both fighters may have with performance enhancing drugs.

Manny PacquiaoIt was Floyd Mayweather Sr. who accused Manny Pacquiao of using human growth hormones (HGH) to gain an advantage in his fights inside the ring. And although Mayweather Jr. hasn’t accused Pacquiao of anything yet, Pacquiao’s refusal to undergo drug testing really raises some questions.

If Pacquiao doesn’t have anything to hide, then why refuse to submit to drug testing?

‘’C’mon. It’s only a little bit of blood. If you have nothing to hide, then do the test…”

2009 NFL Football Season Week 11 Betting Picks

By: J.J. Jack

This week, we’re kicking off on the wild side.

Yep, you read it, Week 11 of the 2009 NFL football season will kick off on the wild side because this week, the Miami Dolphins and that wildcat offense will travel to Bank of America Stadium to take on the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football.

Now I don’t know about you but that’s the way to start a week of football. The Miami Dolphins have become one of the most exciting teams in the NFL because of that explosive wildcat offense that the Dolphins introduced to the league last year. If they can just win more games with the wildcat.

ricky_williamsAs of this writing, both the Miami Dolphins and the Carolina Panthers have an identical 4-5 mark. The Panthers’ 28-19 win over Atlanta last Sunday put them one game behind the Falcons, Packers, Eagles and Giants in the wild card picture, with a game in New York still remaining on their schedule.

The Dolphins BARELY saved themselves from falling to 3-6 after quarterback Chad Henne gave up an interception in the last two minutes of their game against the Buccaneers last Sunday. The Bucs came up with a touchdown, giving them the 23-22 lead with 1:14 to go. Thankfully, Henne didn’t made the same mistake when they got the ball back as…

Will Chad Ochocinco Lambeau Leap in Green Bay?

By: J.J. Jack

Oh yes, Chad Ochocinco is at it again.

Of course, this is nothing new to Bengals fans. After all, this is the only thing they can look forward to after all those disappointing years of missing the playoffs. While it’s still a little early to say that the Bengals will miss the playoffs again with the 2009 NFL football season only a week old, at least no.85 is keeping their fans (and the opposing team’s fans for that matter…) interested.

In case you didn’t know, the Cincinnati Bengals are scheduled to visit the Green Bay Packers this Sunday and since this will be the first time Chad Ochocinco will get to play in historic Lambeau Field, he already made his plans for a new touchdown celebration public.

chad_ochocincoYes, the enigmatic Cincinnati Bengals receiver wants to do the Lambeau Leap.

It was during a Tuesday conference call when Chad Ochocinco said he plans to perform one of the routines usually reserved for players of the Green Bay Packers who score touchdowns.

”Hopefully I can Lambeau Leap,” Chad Ochocinco said.

Ochocinco pointed out that he already did the same thing in Cleveland where…

Guess what, Tiger Woods lost another Major

By: Seth Edward O'Neal

seth-edward-oneal.jpgThat means Tiger will be concluding the PGA season with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

You read it, Tiger lost yet another Major, losing out on the opportunity to conclude the year with the 2009 PGA Championship. This will be the first time Tiger will finish the year without a Major. Leading us to believe that the injury he suffered a few months ago could be more serious than we thought.

So instead of a victorious Tiger Woods to end the golfing season on a high note, (since most golf fans root for Tiger to win EVERYTHING anyway…) we have this 37-year-old Korean old fart Y.E. Yang celebrating as if it was only the first time he won something big through all the years he has been playing this game.

tiger_yangWait, it was the first time Y.E. Yang won something big on a golf course. And what a memorable win it was since he just became one of a few people who managed to take down Tiger.

What made it even more special is the fact that Tiger looked unstoppable, looking like he was on his way to finally winning his first Major of the year. Hell, he was on top of the leaderboard, leading by more than one shot going into the final round of the tournament. And do you know how Tiger finishes when he’s on top at crunch time? An unbeatable 14-0.

The problem is, Y.E. Yang wasn’t even remotely intimidated by…

Miguel Cotto can officially fuck Manny Pacquiao up

By: J.J. Jack

Because Bob Arum just made it official.

You read it, we’ve been hearing about it for months and now, we’ll finally see the Manny Pacquiao – Miguel Cotto fight officially take place. Hopefully, we’ll see Pacquiao’s ass tossed around the goddamn ring once it’s all over.

In what could turn out to be boxing’s much awaited salvation, welterweight champion Miguel Cotto will have a crack at Manny Pacquiao on November 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Can he finally save boxing from the fucking moron?

Manny PacquiaoI sure hope so. You see, many have tried saving the sport from the third world joke but unfortunately, Manny Pacquiao manages to extend his reign of terror each time, terrorizing the sport with his god-awful brawling techniques and his grotesque mustache.

Manny Pacquiao wanted Miguel Cotto, probably thinking that since he got fluke victories over the likes of Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton, he could earn another one over the Puerto Rican sensation. Hell, Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum even made sure he’d be able to get Cotto for his boy.

They have no idea what they’re walking into…

The 91st PGA Championship is here, will you bet on Tiger Woods wining his first Major of 2009?

By: Syndicate

In case you haven’t noticed, he has yet to bag his first major of the year.

Although Tiger Woods won this past weekend’s WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, he is batting .000 at golf majors this year. Tiger finished sixth at the Masters and the U.S. Open and missed the cut at the British Open.

With the final major of the year, the 2009 PGA Championship, beginning on Thursday, you can be sure Tiger will be gunning for the top; as always he is the odds-on favorite to win at +140 from the posted golf betting odds at SPORTSBETTING.COM.

Tiger WoodsWhile Tiger hasn’t won a major, he has had a solid year in 2009, picking off a few tournaments as he comes back from knee surgery. And if it means anything, Tiger enters the last major of the year having won his last two consecutive tournaments, the Bridgestone and the Buick Open (making it five wins in 2009).

While Woods missed last year’s event, he did win the last two PGA Championships before that (2006 and 2007).

Meanwhile, Padraig Harrington blew up late in his final round last week, handing the Bridgestone Invitational to Woods. He now heads to Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota as the defending champ of PGA championship. Online sportsbooks have him listed at +1000 to defend his title.

With the exception of last weekend’s second place finish…

Rafael Nadal to miss the 2009 U.S. Open?

By: J.J. Jack

After being out of tennis competition for two months, looks like Nadal could be out for more.

Yes, arguably the best tennis player to come out of Spain could be out longer, forcing him to miss the last Grand Slam tennis tournament of the season which would be the 2009 U.S. Open.

Too bad considering that Rafael Nadal was the no.1 tennis player in the world coming in 2009. When he lost in the French Open at Roland Garros for the first time ever, it was so monumental that everything started crumbling down with it.

Rafael NadalYou see, Nadal has been out of action for two months with knee problems during which time he lost both the French Open and Wimbledon titles to his rival Roger Federer. Since then, Federer has reclaimed his spot on top of the mountain, thanks primarily to Nadal’s troubles on and off the court.

As of this writing, Nadal has no idea if he’d be able to play in the U.S. Open and give him a chance to redeem himself.

”I can’t tell you if I’ll be 100 percent for the U.S. Open,” Nadal said. ”It depends on many factors but clearly, I’ll work as hard as I can try to be in condition there. But most of all, I want to make sure my knees respond well.”

”Once I know my knees will respond well, I can…”
