Not me, but for those of you who will, here’s what ya’ll need to know.
The 2008 Augusta Masters Tournament, which is commonly referred to as ‘The Masters’ or ‘The U.S. Masters,’ is one of four major championships in men’s professional golf and the first of the four to be played each year. The final round of the Masters Tournament is always scheduled for the second Sunday in April.
The 2008 Masters Tournament marks the 50th anniversary of Arnold Palmer’s first of four victories at Augusta National. It also marks 50 years since Amen Corner got its name. Gary Player will be competing in his 51st Masters, breaking the record for most consecutive appearances he shares with Palmer.
Arnold Palmer won the Masters Tournament every other year beginning in 1958 and ending in 1964. Only Jack Nicklaus has won more green jackets than Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods, who each have four.
Tiger Woods will attempt to move past Arnold Palmer and begin his quest to achieve golf’s Grand Slam, something that has not been achieved since 1930 when Bobby Jones, co-founder of Augusta National, accomplished one of the rarest of all sports feats.
Tiger Woods held all four major trophies at the same time when he won the Masters in 2001 after winning the U.S. Open, British Open and PGA Championship the year before. Now Tiger Woods is targeting all four in the same…

Because we all know Tiger will win this one anyway.
The 2008 Masters golf tournament will be kicking off this Wednesday and will stretch until Sunday, April 13. And as always, Tiger will be there looking to win his fifth one.
You read it people, Tiger Woods will be looking to win one for the thumb as he goes for his fifth Masters title. The guy already has four Masters in 10 starts as a professional golfer and with a .400 batting average, the guy is only two Augusta victories shy of the career record held by Jack Nicklaus.
However, while Tiger Woods is the heavy favorite every single time he enters a golf tournament, especially the Masters, recent
history proves he’s far from a sure thing. After beginning his pro career as a 50 percent winner (3-for-6) at Augusta National, the number has dropped to 20 percent (1-for-5) since 2003.
STILL, we’re still talking about Tiger Woods here and win no.5 at the Masters looks to be in place.
Phil Mickelson, on the other hand, is going for something different. Four years ago, he buried the notion of becoming the ‘’best player to have never won a major,'’ removing the BPTHNWAM (Best Player To Have Never Won A Major, get it?..) label in the bottom of Augusta National’s 18th hole where he clinched his…

Somebody had the nerve to take on Tiger Woods again folks, and this time it’s a bitch.
Golf Channel anchor Kelly Tilghman, made a somewhat racial comment towards Tiger Woods during the Mercedes-Benz Championship. She was discussing Tiger’s dominance in golf today that she said young golfers on the PGA Tour should, get this, ‘’lynch him in a back alley.'’
He he… Imagine that. I guess this girl has some HUGE BALLS to fit inside her panties eh? And she’s not attacking just about any no-name dude, she’s actually on to Tiger Woods.
As expected, Kelly Tilghman was suspended for two weeks after a
wave of outrage came, including a call for her to be fired by civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton. As for Tiger Woods’ camp? They claim, ‘’it is a complete non-issue.'’
However, Rev. Al Sharpton said that the fact that Tiger Woods did not call for punishment does not mean the comment was not offensive to nigg… er… African-Americans.
‘’That’s the same thing Don Imus said,'’ Sharpton said on CNN Headline News referring to the radio shock-jock’s racially offensive comments about…

The 89th PGA Championship kicks off August 9 and will conclude on August 12 in ‘’Boomer Sooner country,'’ Oklahoma.
Yep, unfortunately, everybody is talking about the boring sport again and like any other major golf tournament in the planet these days, Tiger Woods is the heavy favorite to win the final major of the season.
Yeah, sure, he can just take these four days off and hunt down Rory Sabbatini but it’s Tiger Woods, and being the ‘’tiger'’ that he is on the golf course, he wants to win. (Although I haven’t seen any actual tigers play actual golf yet…)
It seems winning the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational (and kick Rory Sabbatini’s ass last weekend…) did not confuse Tiger from the ‘’real goal'’ and the most important one at that, win the PGA Championship.
Of course, as far as some of us are concerned, we’d be happy if we see another Britney Spears panty slip.
Tiger Woods already has four PGA Tour wins this season while topping the tournament’s…

And of course, when you make golf as your main source of income, that’s not always a good idea.
He he… Especially if he’s named Tiger while you’re named Rory. He he… Yep, Rory Sabbatini, apparently, has some sort of a grudge with Tiger Woods, the No.1 ranked golfer in the world.
Basically, Rory Sabbatini wants some publicity lately that he’ll do anything, in this case, SAY ANYTHING, just so he can get some people’s attention. Most of the stuff that comes out of his pie hole seem directed at Tiger and as expected, he got Tiger’s attention.
Considering that Tiger Woods remembers EVERYTHING, especially if someone decides to diss him the way Sabbatini did, it’s safe to say that Rory will always find trouble every single time he meets Tiger on a golf course.
So what did Sabbatini actually said for someone to say that he just dissed the No.1 golfer in the world? Sabbatini said Woods was, ‘’as beatable as ever.'’ Yeah sure, it’s harmless when you’re talking about any other golfer on the course but when you talk about someone like Tiger Woods, someone who hardly loses at all, it’s like saying to Floyd Mayweather’s face that…

There’s something about the Carnoustie golf course in Scotland that makes all these golfers sick to their stomachs.
And after the way Sergio Garcia missed out on the chance to win the 2007 British Open, a tournament virtually his to win coming to the final day, he is probably the sickest of them golfers when it was all said and done.
Sergio Garcia had the lead Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Hell, this guy even had the lead coming to the 18th fairway on the final fucking hole Sunday. He had a chance to win the 2007 British Open with one shot and he missed. And now, he’s blaming it on the 15-minute delay that he claimed put him out of his game.
Sergio Garcia needed a par to win, so he used an iron off the tee and put the ball in the fairway. But then he had to wait, and wait, and wait some more as the group ahead of him finished the hole, followed by the raking of two bunkers.
‘’Having to wait 15 minutes in the fairway doesn’t help when you’re trying to win the British Open,'’ Sergio Garcia said, apparently upset about the delay.
Garcia pulled a 3-iron, the same club he had flushed on the…

Maybe because it’s Britain and British pussy is hotter? Hmm…
No, seriously, golfers love playing in the 2007 British Open primarily because of the way the course has been set-up at Carnoustie. (And as much as we like to get more, THAT’s basically it.)
The top contenders for the 2007 British Open title praised the course at Carnoustie, Scotland for reasons only ‘’real'’ golfers can understand. Obviously, I don’t play golf and I don’t intend to play wearing those silly trousers anytime soon.
The course set-up this year at Carnoustie is an obvious improvement from what the golfers were forced to play on back in 1999.
Many players heavily criticized the course then for being tough to the point where good play was not rewarded.
Tiger Woods, the No.1 ranked golfer in the world, said that this year’s course is ‘’extremely fair,'’ adding that ‘’it’s not like it was in 1999.'’ Phil Mickelson share his rivals’ delight, saying, ‘’What I really like is how much room there is around the green to hit shots and chip shots.'’
However, as much as these golfers love the 2007 Carnoustie course, Tiger Woods claims that the players still won’t have an easy time playing in the 2007 British Open, what’s left of…

Um… Yeah. Who else is there to tell me otherwise anyway?
And after Tiger’s solid start to kick off the 2007 British Open and go for a third straight British Open title, you’re crazy if you’re betting against this guy.
Tiger Woods, that guy who always comes up whenever there’s any conversation about golf, is looking like he is determined to win his third straight British Open title with a first-round 69 at Carnoustie.
It didn’t matter to Tiger Woods if the weather condition in Carnoustie, Scotland was freezing like crazy as he birdied the third and then fired a stunning eagle at the 6th to move to three under.
Tiger Woods, STILL ranked No.1 in the world, went off the boil and slipped back with bogeys at the 8th, 12th and 13th. The 31-year-old moved back to two under thanks to a monster long-range birdie putt at the par-three 16th.
‘’I was just trying to get the ball close and lo and behold it went in,'’ Tiger Woods said. ‘’It was a successful day overall.'’
‘’The wind was bellowing and the back nine is really tough. You just have to suck that up and play some good shots. The last three holes I played in one under and I will take that any day.'’
British Open officials seem to favor Tiger Woods to win the whole thing too after…

Apparently, as good as these guys are, Justin Timberlake still has the best chance to win a major over these morons.
Yep, the best golfers in the world is on display at the 2007 U.S. Open and with golf’s latest war on green already upon us, can some of the game’s best golfers without a major finally win their first at Oakmont Country Club in Pittsburgh?
Let’s start with Adam Scott. This guy already has Tiger’s old instructor, Butch Harmon. And although Mr. Harmon won’t be turning Scott into the next Tiger Woods anytime soon, Harmon can definitely teach him enough to give him his first major at Oakmont.
Adam Scott proved he can
beat the very best with his win at the Players and Tour Championship. Despite that, his major wins still stand at a resounding ZERO. Of course, you can bet you’re ass he’s already annoyed by it.
‘’If every other 26-year-old was out here winning majors, I’d be annoyed,'’ Adam Scott says, ‘’but that’s not the case. It’s something that I would like to have happen sooner rather than later, but I think you’ve got to be a little patient, too.'’
And speaking of patience, Irishman Padraig Harrington definitely had…

Tiger Woods is human.
Yep, as good as Tiger Woods had been in these golf tournaments, we found out that the Tiger is human after all. He was two over par at Oakmont Country Club and if he missed an eight-foot par putt on No.16, he would be three over.
Thankfully, he made it, avoiding a wrong turn in the very first round of the 2007 U.S. Open. When he made a birdie on No.17 with a three-foot putt and saved par on No.18 with a pitch to about 3 feet after driving into the rough, he salvaged a one-over-par 71 that had him smiling.
‘’On this golf course, it’s fine,'’ he said a few minutes later. ‘’It’s right there.'’
RIGHT THERE. After years and years of watching this guy kick ass on the golf course, RIGHT THERE still is his favorite phrases in major golf tournaments like this. Hey, after all, after the first of four rounds into the 107th offering of the U.S. Open, RIGHT THERE is where he wanted to be.
Tiger Woods is only three strokes behind the leaders.
Woods is on the verge of tying Jack Nicklaus for his record of 18 majors. Tiger has won 12 but only two of them were U.S. Open victories. His first U.S. Open win was back in 2000 at…
