We are probably the only ones hyped up about this fight between the duck-eating phenomenon and the Baby Face Assassin.
And in case you didn’t get that, yes, Marco Antonio Barrera for some reason, is nicknamed as the Baby Face Assassin despite the fact that he looks like one tough Mexican S.O.B. ready to finally put an end to the pathetic legend of Manny Pacquiao.
In case you missed my previous posts about this Manny Pacquiao, yes, I’ve been relentless in berating the guy every single time he has yet another fight with another retiring Mexican.
On October 6, Manny Pacquiao will be facing Marco Antonio Barrera, yet another fighter on the brink of retirement. They’ll be fighting for the Super Featherweight championship of the world. And I’m hoping, Barrera will finally put an end to this joke just so we can move on with our lives and wait for the next Mike Tyson comeback fight.
Or the next time Oscar De La Hoya puts on lingerie again.
Manny Pacquiao claims fighting Marco Antonio Barrera on Saturday is a dream come true. Then again, he doesn’t really know what he is…

Well, that’s according to Man-U star Ryan Giggs anyway.
In case you were living under a rock lately, defending Premiership champions, Manchester United, had a rather humbling start to the brand new 2007-08 English Premiere League season.
Yep, Manchester United was caught sleeping after the first three games of the season. They scored just two points after three fixtures, failing to even make it to the top four spots of the early standings.
As of press time, riding from their impressive five-game winning streak, Manchester United
now sits second best, erasing the fears Man-U supporters had after the rather disappointing start of their favorite team.
Of course, their win over Chelsea FC last Sunday was HUGE. A game that probably led to the demise of the Jose Mourinho era in Stamford Bridge. (With that said… Let’s take a moment of silence to… Aw fuck it…)
Ryan Giggs knows that his club’s sudden resurgence the past few days is big for their campaign to defend the Premiership title this year. Of course, he also knows playing second fiddle to Manchester City at the start of the season just…

Oh yeah, those boys from McLaren ain’t safe from getting their asses fucked this season.
Just in case you’ve been living under a rock lately, an already interesting 2007 F1 season just got a little bit interesting when it was found that McLaren had in their disposal some sensitive Ferrari material that they probably used to gain an advantage over the rest of their rivals.
And just so you know, McLaren has BOTH of their drivers at the top of the 2007 F1 drivers’ championship with McLaren rookie Lewis Hamilton and two-time F1 world champion Fernando Alonso sitting one and two respectively.
Oh yeah, McLaren, as a team, is leading the 2007 F1 constructors’ championship too. Hmm… It definitely looks like those Ferrari materials REALLY did them good eh?
Well, after the FIA held a hearing last July that saw McLaren getting off easy, it turns out that the team will be dealing with the same thing again after F1’s governing body received new evidence in the said case.
The next trial will be on the 13th of September in the French capital. And just because I’m really looking forward for McLaren to…

Literally.
And although I don’t mean Roger Federer will be having a hard time dismantling this guy, I do mean he’ll be facing a BIG TEST on Saturday LITERALLY when the No.1 player in the world plays the third round of the 2007 United States Open Championships.
Hell, the guy he’s facing this Saturday stands at 6′9′’ and definitely STANDS OUT from the crowd. Although nobody really knows him that much, John Isner (yep, we’re talking about him…) should now be known as the giant freak who tried to bring down Roger Federer when he loses to Federer this weekend.
The big man on campus, the biggest story in the 2007 U.S. Open Championships, (and basically any other cliché with the term ‘’giant'’ or ‘’big'’ in it…) defeated Rik De Voest in the second round of the last grand slam of the tennis calendar year, setting up a third round face-off with the current king of the tennis court.
John Isner is only 22 years old. Yes, he can very well pass as a fraternity boy or something. Hell, this dude can even pass as Britney Spears’ newest…

Yay! Maria Sharapova is still shaking that sweet little you – know – what in the last grand slam of the tennis calendar year.
Yep, you read it, the hot and sexy Maria Sharapova, the only real reason why we keep on watching tennis, is still alive in the 2007 U.S. Open after breezing past the first two rounds of the tournament.
Maria Sharapova is out to win her second straight U.S. Open title and it sure looks like she’s determined to do just that too after completely dominating Casey Dellacqua of Australia.
Sharapova’s quick work of the 90th ranked tennis player in the world is her second straight utter destruction of an opponent in the 2007 U.S. Open Championships. She dominated the Australian, giving up only a single game in a stunning 6-1, 6-0 wipeout of round two.
That matches her first round matchup in the tournament, where she also only gave up one game and went on to win. Yep, Maria Sharapova has only lost TWO GAMES after two matches. Jeez…
‘’I served pretty well and I did a pretty good job of being solid,'’ Maria Sharapova said. ‘’But it’s only going to get harder from…'’

Don’t get any ideas… NO, he’s not trying to ‘’suck'’ his own stuff… YET.
What Jose Mourinho meant was, if his Chelsea FC was flexible, they can very well win the Premiership this season. That is of course, after he watched his Blues side suffer from numerous key injuries that led them to relinquish the Premiership to rivals Manchester United.
In this 2007-08 English Premiere League season, Chelsea FC big boss Jose Mourinho believes FLEXIBILITY will be the key to get the title back from Old Trafford. He’s also claiming that his team’s new style of play will be anything but flat. (Whatever the hell that means…)
Chelsea FC seemed keen on adding a lot of players to the Blues side to counter any injuries their premiere boys will have. (Especially now that Michael Essien is injured already…)
Jose Mourinho believes their new guys can adapt to a 4-4-2 formation as well as their infamous diamond formation that gave the club all that success in the past.
‘’It won’t be flat,'’ Jose Mourinho said. ‘’For me the game in between lines is very important. When you play only with two lines, I don’t…'’

Of course, who did you think will? Dwyane Wade?
As much as I would love to see Dwyane Wade get his shoulder ripped off from his shoulder in the coming 2007-08 NBA basketball season, the latest grand slam to hit the tennis calendar is coming and we here at OddJack are going gaga over it. (Somehow anyway…)
Yep, Roger Federer, the same man invincible on the tennis courts EXCEPT against Rafael Nadal on clay, leads the men’s field for the 2007 U.S. Open championships on August 27.
Federer, STILL ranked No.1 overall, leads a field of male tennis players that includes every single one in the top 100.
Roger Federer will also be coming to the 2007 U.S. Open with an opportunity to become only the first one to win four straight times in the Open era. Federer will also be gunning to become the first man since Bill Tilden won that many in a row after Tilden won six U.S. Open championships from 1920 to 1925.
Aside from Roger Federer (jeez… I’m just sick and tired of this guy…) three other…

Finally, after all that doping allegations, I think it’s safe to talk about the Tour De France now without mentioning steroids OR Barry Bonds.
Yep, the 2007 Tour De France just finished Stage 14 and with only six more to go, it looks like we finally have someone to root for and of course, BET ON. That is of course, if you’d rather watch a couple of guys in skin-tight shorts racing.
A Michael Rasmussen is quickly becoming the odds-on favorite to win the 2007 Tour De France after widening his gap from the rest of the pack after finishing second fastest in the 14th stage of the season last Sunday.
Oh yeah, he’s starting to resemble Tour De France legend Lance Armstrong too, leading this year’s standings and getting a podium finish during last Sunday’s race at Plateau de Beille wearing the familiar yellow colors Mr. Armstrong used to wear. That’s when Armstrong was still racing and wasn’t sick and tired of Sheryl Crow yet.
Rasmussen’s second-place win at Plateau de Beille enabled him to follow a path blazed by the seven-time Tour De France champion…

On Sunday, the Grand Prix of Europe will try to put our attention towards the F1 season again and away from the recent scandal that hit it.
Yep, the 2007 European Grand Prix is STILL ON this Sunday at Nurburgring in Germany despite the recent scandal that hit not only Formula One but the entire racing world as well.
For all ya’ll uninformed, it turned out that McLaren had in their possession some sensitive designs stolen from Ferrari that could’ve given them an advantage over the Scuderia team and over the rest of their rivals in this 2007 F1 season.
THAT means, all those races won by
McLaren, including the wins their rookie sensation Lewis Hamilton AND two-time world champion Fernando Alonso had, could very well be a result of cheating.
Sad ain’t it?
Well, even with the recent scandal that placed a dark cloud over the 2007 F1 season, the European Grand Prix is still a go as F1 returns to the home of probably the greatest ever F1 driver to put them skid marks at the Nurburgring circuit, Michael Schumacher.
Coming to the 2007 European Grand Prix, McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton (whether they cheated or not…) still…

All we see these days is two streaking McLaren - Mercedes machines finishing one-two in F1 races.
I don’t know about you but I kinda’ miss seeing a Ferrari in front for a change. Yeah Michael Schumacher is not driving those red scarlet machines anymore and his successor Kimi Raikkonen, quite frankly, sucks. But c’mon, will we ever see a Ferrari winning a grand prix this season?
It has been all about Lewis Hamilton lately. The McLaren - Mercedes rookie has been winning so many races this 2007 F1 season that the guy is actually being compared to Tiger Woods in terms of dominance in his sport.
Where’s Ferrari in this so-called
‘’Lewis Hamilton'’ era? Will these guys from Italy just continue to take the backseat and let the young German sensation have his way on the racetrack? Well, we’re definitely close to that with Ferrari slowly being left out in the race for BOTH titles. Obviously, the Italians are worried.
‘’We are always worried,'’ Felipe Massa said. ‘’We don’t like to be behind. When you see our competitors in front, you are always a bit worried. But we need to be together to improve and I trust my team. I know we can do it, I know we have the…'’
