Best Line: CHW -106, BOS -101

Even though the downtrodden Chicago White Sox franchise has an advantage in so many aspects of this opening game—pitching, defense, speed, oh, and home field—their history is what prevents them from being heavy favorites. They haven’t won a playoff game since since Nipsey Russell was a sprite young 34 years of age(1959). They haven’t won a title since he was -8 years of age(1917). But with Jose Contreras suddenly showing signs of dominance at age 42 and Matt Clement still shaky after getting a line drive to the face, this looks like a White Sox victory. But can you ever count out the Red Sox even with their pitching in disarray? The team can still hit and Contreras has been beat up by this team in the past. However, Ozzie Guillen should win this one and commence yelling at the postgame conference soon after.

PICK!: CHW -106
