A failed shameless self-promotional attempt by online casino huckster Golden Palace.com has sparked investigations into eBay sniping. Golden Palace placed what they thought was a winning bid on an Iraqi candy wrapper stolen from the museum, but it turns out it was just a scam. The Iraqi Museum International monitors all sales of Iraqi artifacts on E-bay in an attempt to get some of the stuff back that was stolen during the looting and revealed the ruse.
