We were excited when Lance Armstrong said he was going to retire and settle down with his pruney minx, rock star Sheryl Crow, but Lance is going all MJ on us and contemplating un-retirement. And the betting community thinks that Lance just can’t keep away from the bicycle. It’s time for an intervention. But so far the PinnacleSports bettors are plopping some major coinage on Lance coming back:
When wagering opened on July 24, PinnacleSports.com listed the odds of Lance Armstrong competing in the 2006 Tour de France as a 24/1 long shot. However, with nearly all bets placed backing Armstrong to end his brief retirement and try for his eighth consecutive Tour title, the odds have moved all the way to 5/2 that Lance will compete in next year’s race. The betting patterns have also changed the odds on the seven-time champion not riding inthe 2006 Tour, moving from an overwhelming favorite of just 1/28 when betting opened to currently standing as a slight favorite at odds of 1/3.
Please, please, please SOMEBODY tell this man that he’s done everything in life. We can’t suffer through another year of Nike commercials regaling Lance’s comeback from cancer and feeling all bad about ourselves because so many people are wearing fucking Livestrong bracelets.

After a magical summer full of yellow bracelets and another Tour de France victory, all-world cyclist Lance Armstrong has finally won his biggest prize in wrinkly-nymph rocker Sheryl Crow. The couple announced their offical engagement over the weekend and SportsInteraction has adjusted the odds on their wedding date. The odds on favorite for a wedding date is for Spring 2006 with Summer 2006 a close second favorite. The longshot odds are being place on whether or not the wedding photo pictures will be purchased by L Equipe or whether or not the couple will cycle together to the ceremony.

With singer Sheryl Crow and her giant sunglasses cheering on as he scaled the mountains of France over the last few weeks, one nut cyclist Lance Armstrong finally won his record-setting seventh Tour de France and plans to retire, be a father, cure cancer, run for Governor of Texas, and embark on eight-hour love making sessions with Crow thanks to his freakishly human(but now useless) stamina. However, that doesn’t mean there won’t continue to be odds on Armstrong’s post-cycling career. Pinnacle Sports has odds on all things Lance-less:

Will Lance Armstrong Marry Sheryl Crow In 2005?

Maybe that’s what that Pearl Jam song is about? Well, we’ll never know, but we do know that Lance Armstrong is holding onto his lead in the Tour de France and most likely on his way to his seventh consecutive victory. Armstrong is still a -150 favorite, but after our miserable day betting on baseball(THE METS!!!) we might as well take the heavy favorite odds and rest our hopes on Captain One Nut. Do you think his bicycle seat smells like Sheryl Crow throughout the entire race?
