British Grand Prix: Schumi Goes Ka-Boomy
READ MORE: Motorsports, Sports Betting
Thanks to the US Grand Prix debacle, Michael Schumacher’s is disliked on this side of the pond if he isn’t flat out anonymous. The man couldn’t get arrested in this country if he ran down the Geico Gecko while schtupping Pam Anderson in a Trabant.
But the man wins – he’s taken checkered flags more often than our tired prostates allow us to pee. So we’re scratching our heads about why he’s a 15/2 outsider at books like SportingOdds for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone this weekend. Could it be the loss of “his personal masseuse, dietician, spiritual ‘guru’ and friend Balbir Singh”? It’s possible - hell, when our pedicurist quit without notice, it ruined our whole weekend.
Flying Finn Kimi Raikkonen gets all the bettor love at 10/11 and the ever-fickle Euros even go for a guy named Fernando (5/2) who is neither the stud in the ABBA song nor a pockmarked Los Angeles Dodger phenom with a kooky wind-up.

NASCAR Betting: Man-Made Death Machines Are Fun

So, the NASCAR season resumes this weekend with scinitilating(and thirst quenching) Pepsi 400 battle at Daytona. It’s amazing the amount of abuse NASCAR fans—and the sport itself—take from many neigh-sayers. The drama, the intrigue, the sneaky athleticism, and the always intriguing potential for a horrifyingly violent, metal-twisting, burning wreck resulting in massive injuries or casualties is what makes this sport fun. Vrooooom.
The bookmaking canucks at Covers are always into making lines—and NASCAR is no exception— as they report on who the heavy favorites are at this weekend’s race. Jeff Gordon, at +400, is a favorite, but surprisingly Greg “Tissue Box” Biffle is at +1,500 even though he’s been on a phenomenal winning streak of late. And plus he’s got such a catchy name. Watch it roll of the tongue…Bifffle.

Greg Biffle: NASCAR’S Betting ATM

Who would’ve thought a NASCAR driver named Biffle could turn out to be so profitable? The man with the last name best-suited for a box of tissues, Greg Biffle, won his fifth race of the year Sunday as he took the Batman Begins 400. Biffle had 6-1 odds going into the race, but beat out some of the NASCAR heavyweights(again) to take the title, proving once again that if you mess with the bull, you get the Biffle. Or something like that.
