Kobe Bryant Props: Making Bets To Piss Off Kobe
READ MORE: Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers, NBA Betting, NBA Props

Los Angeles Lakers’ guard Kobe Bryant is off to a tremendous start this season and it may have to do with his personal life finally being somewhat under control as well as the return of coaching guru Phil Jackson. And the recent announcement that his amazingly forgiving hot wife is pregnant with their second child may have put a little pep in his step as well. However, the doomsday handicappers over at BetOnSports have another set of Kobe odds that if true may knock the superstar guard off his game a bit:
Will a DNA test reveal that Kobe’s daughter is in fact Karl Malone’s? Yes +5000
or
Will Karl Malone be charged of sexual molesting Kobe Bryant’s wife before 12/31/05?
Yes +500
Yeesh. That’s a little extreme. Can’t a big black dude wearing a cowboy hat make a racially insensitive pass at his buddy’s wife without making a big stink about it? And doesn’t everybody say they’re hunting for “little Mexican girls” when they wear a cowboy hat anyway? We know we do.

NBA Props: Betting On The Bowen and Allen Man Dance
READ MORE: Bruce Bowen, NBA Betting, NBA Props, Ray Allen, San Antonio Spurs, Seattle Supersonics
One great thing about this whole NBA dress code is that it may motivate some players to bring their thug on the courts, since they have to be more “professional” off of it now. This is where the prop bet at BetOnSports comes in.
Will Ray Allen and Bruce Bowen Have a Televised Fight Before 12/31/2006?
A YES bet pays +200. We can only hope that the fight results in chubby fans wearing throwback jerseys run onto the court and subsequently get decked by Seattle Sonics’ forward Danny Fortson because he thinks they’re gay.

NBA Props: Heavy Payout For A Darko Breakout
READ MORE: Darko Milicic, Detroit Pistons, NBA Betting, NBA Futures, NBA Props
Poor Darko Milicic. One of the most heavily ridiculed draft picks this side of Sam Bowie is coming into this season, once again, carrying the extremely heavy burden of being a 20-year-old Croatian superstar with this all important(but still non-existent) “upside.” All mighty sportsbook Bodog.com has even given him his own list of of odds for the start of the fannnstastic season before us. Right now, surprisingly, the Piston’s, er, “big man” is a heavy favorite for clocking in the gaudy point total of 6 to 8.9 points per game which is paying out odds at 2/1. These are horrible odds for somebody whose career totals have still yet to average more than two points per game. The longshot odds are on Darko averaging 20 or more points per game, which pay out 15/1 odds. Awwww.

NBA Betting: Ball’s In The Air

Tonight’s the scintilating start of the 2005-06 NBA season. Most of us won’t start paying attention to it until after the Super Bowl, but we also know there are some of you out there who still think the National Basketball Association is the most exciting thing since the riding lawnmower. And with a new season, come new odds. Sort of. Most sportsbooks have last year’s champions the San Antonio Spurs(Go Saints!) as the heavy favorite to win it all again this year. Second favorites are the Shaqtastic Miami Heat. The Detroit Pistons, last year’s Eastern Conference champions, are now living life in the Flip Saunders era, but are also the third favorite to walk away with the crown this year. Other favorites include the New Jersey Nets, the Denver Nuggets, and the Indiana Pacers, who will hopefully spend the first half of the season promoting Ron Artest’s solo album, which comes out in January.

NBA Props: Lebron’s Fast-Food Future
READ MORE: Burger King, Jack-In-The-Box, Lebron James, McDonald's, NBA Props, Subway
Must be nice to be the Cleveland Cavaliers’ super-stud guard Lebron James and have the all important decision of which fast-food company to shill for next. If we had our druthers, we’d love it if Lebron did something for Blue Nine Burger. Shit’s amazing. But, of course, they’re left of the list of potential Lebron suitors on Bodog. Odds favorites are McDonald’s which pays out a wimpy 3/2 and Burger King paying out 9/5. Subway is paying out 5/2, but unless Jared goes all Raging Bull, we don’t see that as a possibility. Longshot odds go to Jack In The Box, at 7/2, which may lose out unless it starts offering something else besides fried chicken. Golfer Fuzzy Zoeller would have a field day if that happened, however.

NBA Props: Who’s Gonna Suffer For Their Bling?
READ MORE: Allen Iverson, NBA Betting, NBA Dress Code, NBA Props
The mandatory NBA dress code being put in place on Nov. 1st has many players miffed. After spending millions of their hard-earned dollars on ridiculously tacky jewelery, to be told that it can’t be worn under the new dress code policy has them all riled up. Now, Bodog has odds on whom the first player to be fined this season will be. Heavy favorites are 76ers guard(and Bodog CEO Calvin Ayre’s homeboy) Allen Iverson at 2/5; fan favorite Ron Artest of the Indiana Pacers at 5/6; and Denver Nuggets’ center Marcus Camby at 1/1. Iverson, who’s been at the forefront of the NBA’s transformation into hip-hop culture, says that even he will abide by the rules, however.
“Honestly, I really think that I will. Once they start talking about suspending me, then I don’t have a choice. I don’t want them to take my money, either. I don’t want to just give my money away. That’s just like taking it and burning it. But when they start talking about suspending me and hurting what we’re trying to do here as a basketball team, then I don’t have (any) choice but to abide by it.”
Be sure to watch Iverson practice his new business casual attire all season long. Practice.
