Dan Schmiech, a professional poker player from Brownwood, Texas, outlasted a field of 269 players to win Event #28’s $5k Limit Hold ‘Em event last night at the World Series of Poker. First place was worth $404,585, as well as the coveted gold bracelet.
Interestingly, he was able to beat Gabe “Mr. Kotter” Kaplan heads-up without having to produce a note from Epstein’s mother (Bah dum ching!).
