We’ll buy into it. We love the Steve Spurrier angle as much as anybody else. We want Fun ‘N Gun and that whole Shit-Kicker-Ross Perot pap he dishes out. Does he have the fire power at SC to execute the offense properly? No. Of course not. But the University of Central Florida Golden Knights may be one of the most truly awful football teams ever. This is a team that was ranked dead last in most AP polls last year. Their defense gives up a crapload of points and third down conversions. Watching them execute their offense reminds us of a team of drunk senior citizens riding around in Rascals. The point total is 49 here—the under’s a gimme—but we also think the Gamecocks will score at least three touchdowns to cover the spread. Prepare for the Steve Spurrier post-game conference and preening, however undeserved it may be.
