Some of Our Best Friends Are Kiwis

Yesterday saw a major gambling payout for anybody willing to take a chance on New Zealand golfer Michael Campbell, who staved off a charging Tiger Woods in the final round to inexplicably win the U.S. Open—and deliver a +15,000 payout to anybody who actually took the time to find his name on the bet sheet and gamble on him. Campbell finished with an even par 280 for the tournament, winning $1.17 million in prize money. Woods finished second, as his putter completely failed him in the final round and gave Campbell the victory. Does this mean that Michael Campbell should be on our radar for the British Open? Well, possibly. But we’d be better served just taking the $100 out of our wallet and shooting holes in it with a pellet gun.
